Seeing in the Rain from Chris Gallagher on Vimeo.
Experimental, 10:00, 1981 - chrisgallagher.ca/
Photographed through the windshield of a Vancouver city bus and edited according to the rhythms of the bus' windshield wiper, the film transforms the linear narrative of the bus ride into a temporal construction that can be described as cubist. The effect of the cutting strategy on the actual temporal organization of the film is as remarkable as its effect on our sense of time.
R. Bruce Elder, Image and Identity
Gallagher's film embodies the essence of cinema; movement, rhythm and the poignance of ephemeral gestures.

YANA - June from Magdalena Zielinska on Vimeo.
"June" explores the idea that to be fully present, you must let go, get lost, and surrender first. It celebrates our vulnerability, praises the beauty of fleeting moments, nostalgia, and finding inner peace and acceptance despite our failures, fears, burn-outs, and sorrows. Delicate, almost improvised piano song, together with visuals, illustrate the undefined longing for both the unknown journeys and familiar places we would like to find ourselves in.
written and directed by Magdalena Zielińska cinematography: Mateusz Kanownik starring: Joanna Niemirska, Jairo Almoguera Acosta colorist: Piotr Putko sound design: Tomasz Stempniewicz

7Y98D from OURO Collective on Vimeo.
7Y98D is a reference to The Climate Clock, a public art installation in New York City, created by artists Gan Golan and Andrew Boyd. The clock counts down the time we have left to avoid climate disaster. OURO Collective became aware of the Climate Clock when the time remaining was 7 years and 98 Days. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, we must reduce global greenhouse gas emissions within this critical time window to prevent irreversible damage to the planet.

ECAL Instagram Live: Jean-Luc Godard from ECAL on Vimeo.
ECAL Instagram Live: Jean-Luc Godard, cinéaste, Rolle (Suisse)
