The Coronation Stakes (4.20) is the fillies’ equivalent of the St James’s Palace Stakes, attracting the best three-year-old female milers. Winter, the impressive Qipco 1,000 Guineas winner, proved beyond doubt that success was no fluke when bolting up in the Irish Guineas at The Curragh next time. Win this showpiece and she will rightly be considered the best in Europe.

One to watch

Although this will be just the third running of the Commonwealth Cup (3.40) it is already being hailed as a masterstoke by Ascot to introduce a Group One sprint just for three-year-olds.
