There's no agenda here. I was just thinking about how I used to walk 45 minutes to school and 45 minutes back every day (eg. I could listen to two full LP albums of music every day) and that I have no idea how common of an experience that is.

I’m going to the Cornel West 2024 event in Seattle today. You don’t have to vote for the Big Two, friends. Especially not in the primaries. The more noise we make for third party candidates, the more it pushes the big parties to engage on issues they might not otherwise. Let them know we’re not willing to settle for the present garbage options. We won’t blithely support genocide just because.

The Princess Bride is such a funny book to read after ONLY seeing the movie. Like Goldman made up a fake author from a fake country and proceeded to write the book as an abridged version of what the fake author wrote... and then he proceeds to add in notes to the "abridged version" mentioning all the boring world building stuff he skipped because it was boring.

Like shout out to William Goldman, man really did make an entire book that is just "the cool scenes you thought of in your head" and then made up a fake author to abridge so he doesn't have to connect them.

And it slaps

Earl Grey Lavender black tea from Adagio (22 cups) - an excellent smooth, floral Earl Grey.

Lapsang Souchong black tea from MarketSpice (16 cups) - a classic smoky tea, good for a rainy day, especially sweetened with a little maple syrup.

I tried hard to mark it down to a 4/5 for the bits that have aged poorly, and the lack of well rounded female characters, but it’s just too delightful of a romp, and even the special effects hold up pretty well. The scene where the stained glass window comes to life and attacks the old priest is actually very creepy.
