i fully believe that the Rat Grinders will all be revived after all is said and done and that their deaths aren't permanent, which is why I personally LOVE how fucking brutal the Bad Kids were with them this ep. it really drives home just how one-sided the Rat Grinders' obsession with them has always been—they go into this ready for epic, cinematic, toe-to-toe combat, but the Bad Kids categorically Do Not have the time or the energy to get into their whole deal right now and drop them in like two rounds. fuck non-lethal damage, they need these assholes out of their way YESTERDAY. there's truly something so fitting to me about the battle-hardened Bad Kids having no patience for coddling the Rat Grinders when the world is actively ending. like yeah yeah, we can figure out who's actually evil later and bring you back to life, but everyone currently trying to resurrect a dead god is going in interplanar timeout right now while the grown up adventurers clean up your mess, sorry

I think the thing that hurts the most about Oisin's failed ping pong throws being a part of the Ratgrinders' scheme and not about having a crush on Adaine is that it'll make her feel stupid.

Stupid for having even entertained the thought that a cute guy had a crush on her. Stupid for letting herself maybe have a crush on him. Stupid for sticking up for him and calling him cool when the whole time he was planning on fucking her and her friends over.

One of her biggest insecurities is not being smart or clever enough. It's something her parents, especially her father, harped on. I'm sure she can only imagine the snickers he and Ivy shared over how flustered he made her that night. If only she was smart enough to see through their ruse. Not a very good Oracle now is she?

I interpret the scene of when Murph realising that they've gathered every single student in a big boat when their enemy has a cloud rider engine as Riz realising it and jumping onto like Fabian's chest, grabbing onto his shirt and, veins popping, yelling WE'RE ON A BOAT AND WE BROUGHT EVERYONE HERE literally as it rumbles and lifts from the ground

Kristen meeting up with her parents in Krom's Diner is funny to me because it conjures the image of Sandra Lynn, Jawbone, and Lydia watching through a Mordred window with binoculars making sure that nothing bad happens
