What is your opinion on Jeroen/Magnus' mother?

Do you think she is a good mother?

In my opinion no. Both parents weren't ideal but their father atleast seemed to show interest in them, Their mother's don't seem to give a shit about them. Their behaviour in S1 is partly their fault. It's no wonder they have an addiction to money if they fuck them up like that. They don't do shit with raising them and then are surprised that they turned out to be a mess and then Jeroen/Magnus get send away. Which I think was close when their father was getting into prison. I don't think they got any emotional support from their mothers during that time. Watching HHA Season 1 Jeroen's behaviour in Ep 39 and 40 was... yeah. He's so triggered by the fact he doesn't know what's going on due to his abandoned issues. It does maybe look a bit funny because the other were just like "tf?" , but it's honestly really sad.

In the secret books it also written that their parents were basically neglecting them ( mostly their mother) because they did spend time with their fathers. ( not that much either because he was busy due his job). I don't know if the job was also more important, because in S3 they rather go to a different continent for a job than stay in their home country for maybe a less paying job.

Hell, Fabian even pointed it out to Nienke and wanted to talk about, but then Amber interrupted him by wanting to talk about Appie's birthday party.

The Van Den Bergs did find the tomb two centuries prior to this, but they never revealed that info to anyone. Canonically speaking, as told by Zeno Terpstra, there were rumours going around in the archeological field that it had been found, but no one had any evidence for their claims.

So, my guess is that, since this takes place after the series finale, de Van Den Berg family most likely continued their careers as archeologists and finally made the discovery public. (I know that the first two movies technically take place in some alternate universe in which the mystery doesn't exist, but still.)

I don't know if this is unpopular or not.

But if I were Jeroen and Magnus 15 yo md would be pissed off aswell if my best friend suddenly starts hanging out with some group and starts excluding me from it. And doing those secret things right in front of me. ( Not to say I agree with their actions later on). But I can understand them feeling left out because I did feel that way at certain times in school aswell and it was horrible.

Due this I can't help feel more bad for them in a way. I dislike the stuff they did. But they have huge abandoned issues because both of their parents "leaving" them. So I get why they would be more sensitive to this and lash out.

And I don't even think they were always the villains in comparison to the Club. Like some of the things were shitty they have done no question. But they have a right to be pissed off Victor punishes them all because of the Club. Or when they accidently poisoned Felix and put him in the hospital. I know they didn't do it on purpose. But it was still kind of dumb of them.
