the funniest hp lovecraft story is the one where some guy’s family offended an evil wizard who then cursed his entire family saying that all the men would die before they hit like 30. the protagonist is going crazy trying to find a spell to break the curse and then the big reveal was that the wizard was literally just breaking into their house and killing them himself.

I recently got a copy of Gustav Holst’s The Planets, and felt compelled to do a set of compositions based on each movement. The music for Jupiter especially always makes me Feel Some Kind Of Way, but I really love the whole suite!

Kind of played with anthropomorphising the appearance of the actual planets as well as capturing the mood of each movement. And had fun with researching historical costume here and there, of course.

Micron and copic with details in posca and metallic paint pens on index cards. (I wish you guys could see how Saturn’s bell gleams irl, aaa)

So today as a prank I made a sheet music print out of Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball but replaced the name with “Christmas Time Meditation” and deleted the words and I’m going to put it in the with church music and see if the pianist notices.

MBTI as DnD classes

ISFJ: Cleric (Probably good but has just enough potential to become a super-villain too, undoubtedly interested in health, even if it’s more on the necromancy side. Whatever their moral alignment, they see in black and white.) 

ESFJ: Monk (Traditional fighting with a little bit of religion and very detailed backstories? Sign them up!)

ENFP, ISFP, ESFP: Bard (Whether they be drawn to lutes or bucket drums previously holding leeches, they know they’re talented in the entertainment industry. Now hopefully they can sing better than a leech, because you’ll be hearing a lot of their voice.)

INFP, INFJ: Druid (Morals and fluffy animals? That sounds like a nat. 20 to me.)

ENFJ: Paladin  (Yes, not all ENFJs are knights in shining armor, but let’s pretend for a moment that they are. They are known far and wide for their courage and chivalry. I’m sure they’re more than a few bards’ muse.  Their oaths flood their veins, don’t make them break their bond.)

INTP: Ex-wizard, has since retired and become a bard. (What can I say? They may be famous for their strange brain but they’d rather tell bad jokes and befriend goblin kings.) Most likely to multi-class. 

ENTP: Rogue (C’mon, did you think I would say that they aren’t going to try to steal your stuff? I bet they have a pet wyvern working for them too.)

INTJ, ESTJ: Warlock (Probably the most powerful of the group, or at least, they will be, or at the very least, they think they are. Unlike the wizard, they put a lot of effort into being smart. Knowledge and control is the name of the game, afterall.)

ENTJ: Fighter (Picture a romanesque gladiator. Bloodshed, passion, and a balanced mix of book and street smarts, they’re some of the most formidable opponents without magic. They’re jack-of-all-trades yet specialize too, making them the natural choice for leadership.)

ISTJ: Ranger (They don’t necessarily have to play with the party and they get to think the most about strategic placement. It’s fancy chess as far as they’re concerned.)

ESTP: Barbarian (Enough said. Extended edition: they may use brute force but they do it so the ones they love don’t have to.)

ISTP: Sorcerers (They’re similar to wizards but a little more chaotic and a little more individualized at the same time. Magic that’s based on their personality is a dream come true.)

I actually did it! I managed to continue this serie, yay! So, here’s my take on Elizabeth Joestar, a.k.a. Lisa-Lisa. I know that her long, straight, glossy hair are kind of her “signature feature”. But she also striked me as a very fashionable and up-to-date woman, so I think she would have gone with what the latest novelty was.

I had this idea to redesign “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures” characters with more historically accurate clothing. Don’t get me wrong, I honestly love Araki’s take on fashion, especially in the latest story arcs: it is extremely over the top but charming and stylish at the same time. I simply thought it would be a nice character-design exercize. For now, I only did Erina Pendleton-Joestar, and it took me like a week to do it, so idk if I’ll keep doing this.

i have never felt as mature as when i finally understood (through therapy) and internalized (through emotional work) that you cannot connect and communicate with some people no matter how kind, compassionate, understanding, articulate, eloquent, or smart you are, and that sometimes a person not listening to you does not reflect on your communication skills or ability to connect or straight up intelligence. in a way, it’s letting go of the belief that you have the power to make people understand you. communication is a two-way street, and needs two willing participants. some people are just walls, and it has been unbelievably helpful for my mental and emotional health to let it slide and know that it does not affect me or my self worth.
