hi gay people! decided to check this blog for the first time in a year b/c tumblr sent me an email that this blog turned 2 years old... wild. thank you for the kind messages of love and support in my absence!

honestly looking back at some of my posts... how awfully i worded things, the dumb perspectives i had as an inexperienced young adult, it makes me cringe. 😬 i spoke over a lot of people, interjected into many conversations ESPECIALLY as a white person that i shouldn’t interrupted, and like... i seemed so annoying!!! my 19 year old self PLEAAASE SHUT UPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

im so glad i quit the discourse blog thing. its horrible to be surrounded by so many people engaging with you in bad faith. and even now im still getting awful asks from rad..fems reblogging posts i made years ago... lol. the best advice i can give is to block freaks & make blocklists & engage with people you want to make friends with! don’t engage with idiots who think you’re stupid, it’s just a waste of time. play minecraft, terraria, puyo puyo. save up for a dog. god i want a husky.

and my perspective now is that, like, being against pedophilia, incest, abuse, transphobia, lesbophobia, etc. is just a normal people thing. thats just something you should expect from people online and IRL. the culture has shifted so now we’re listening to victims!! and spreading awareness and information!! and im so glad. it’s usual to find people clowning on freaks instead of defending them, and i love it so much.

other than that ive been working a lot lol. obsessed with terraria on the switch in my free time. still with my girlfriend and im growing out my hair. read both homestuck epilogues-- they sucked and im kinda out of the fandom because... the racism... the homophobia... the bastardization of my favorite characters.... nah. i love and stan she-ra on netflix and watched all of season three last night. Catra redemption arc when!!!!!!!!

Farewell Post

(I’m going to publish this into my queue so that way when it runs out I’ll have a clean ending post.)

It’s been fun running this blog, and I’ve met with and interacted with so many awesome people, but I’ve decided I want to focus on real life. It’s really not worth it to disregard actual issues in my life (surgery, hormones, finding a new job, visiting my online friends, getting a house with my new girlfriend, and so on) anymore. 

I don’t have to use social media to live online and escape from my actual life. I don’t need that as a coping mechanism, not anymore.  Discourse blogs are a lot to handle-- you’re faced with so much negativity and meet the worst kinds of people. This blog has the most followers I’ve ever had, and it’s made me incredibly happy and validated at times, but more often than not I’m just faced with a pit in my stomach.

I think I’ll keep this blog up as an archive. I’ll check in to it from time to time, but I really think this is for the best for me.

With all that said, thank you to everyone who’s ever followed this blog! Especially to my fantastic mutuals, ex-mutuals and fellow anti blogs, and my kind anons! I want to let you all know that I’m doing fine; I’m not dead, I just want to live life. I hope you all have great futures and succeed in school, work, and love!!!!

The Nazis may have called themselves socialists but anyone who can be bothered to take 10 seconds out of their day and do the most basic amount of research can tell you that the Nazis had their own definition of socialism which was radically opposed to what had already become known as socialism, both Marxist and otherwise. 

For example, Marxist socialism advocates for class struggle and the abolition of private property while fascism advocates class collaboration and the defense of private property. Already we see that socialism and Nazism are polar opposites on the most fundamental points. Even worse, fascists, both Germans and Italians, actively oppressed socialists and working class movements. Both Mussolini and Hitler spoke openly of their hatred for communists and Marxists. 

The reason they called themselves socialists was because, like all right-wingers, they are liars. Socialism had a much better reputation back then so the Nazis decided to appropriate it for themselves to look good. The American Libertarian Party did the exact same thing with the term libertarian which was actually a left-wing ideology. The only difference is that libertarian Murray Rothbard admitted his dishonest use of the word while Hitler invented lies.

i think a lot of lesbians need to be careful with how they interact with trans men.

i understand sometimes you rlly don’t have bad intentions while complimenting us but saying stuff like “id go straight for you” or “i’m gay but-“ isn’t rlly okay. it doesn’t come off as you guys validating our gender it comes off as someone who is only attracted to women seeing a trans man as not completely a man.

& that is obviously not you guys’ fault! but often times compliments like these make us doubt our ability to pass or play on our insecurities with ourselves & our gender presentation & it rlly jus. isn’t good

you shouldn’t be complimenting trans men by saying “i’m a lesbian but i would go straight for you” or anything like that coz it’s jus uncomfortable for us

this person is so immersed in western chauvinism she’s actually incapable of seeing how in framing herself as a representative of the global masses (when did the global masses vote for her anyway?) she’s actually enacting the west’s foundational racist mythology of the rest of the world’s population as violent and incapable of comprehending enlightened western values. in the end this form of thinking is just part of the same right-wing homonationalist pattern that leads to the systematic denial of asylum to gay asylum seekers from the global south, because it conceives of LGBT people and LGBT activism even in the face of violent repression as notions only comprehensible by westerners and those who have fully assimilated to western culture, thus systematically denying the enormous struggles made by transgender women across the entire world.

the hypothetical old man from el salvador may very well hold more progressive and revolutionary values than your dumb ass self ever will, you just intrinsically decided that he must agree with your bigotry merely by virtue of his country of origin because you’re fundamentally incapable of conceiving of people from outside “the west” as capable of complex individual beliefs, and even if his values end up aligning with socially-acceptable transmisogyny, it’s not super likely he’s the kind of person who goes on the internet every day to melt down about the troon menace because your values are extreme even by the standards of “normal” social transmisogyny… its why your only political support comes from the far-right.
