you can’t support autistic people and support the police. No amount of paint jobs or sensitivity training can stop police from killing with impunity

“This is not an appeal to expand the category of the settler, as I have argued before Black slaves and descendants of slaves are not settlers. However, the processes which make Black bodies fungible flesh, a form of terra nullius, and embed their bodies in the land as settled-slaves needs to be theorized as modalities of settlement. Settlement needs to be retheorized along the contours of the bodies that it renders materially and socially dead. Scholarship from Marxist geographies, cultural landscape studies, anthropology and the emerging field of settler colonial studies is useful for helping us think about space, however, it does not help us think about the ways that the process of settlement also materializes Blackness as an ontological position. Native studies and Black studies enable a discussion of how the production of Settler and Master or Settler-Master subjectivity comes about due to its parasitic relationship to Native death and Black fungibility/accumulation (social death). When we think about the Settler-Master as parasitic we can also begin to think about their process of settlement as one that also requires the making of ontological categories occupied by the dead. The process of settlement allows the Settler-Master to become a human with spatial coordinates because the Native dies and the Black becomes a non-being (a settled-slave).”
Tiffany King, from her dissertation In the Clearing: Black Female Bodies, Space, and Settler Colonial Landscapes.

so due to the coronavirus the state govt in Michigan decided to turn on all water for detroit and cover the first month free and make the billing for every month after only $25, at least until the pandemic dies down.
for those that don’t know, detroit has been suffering from water shutoffs so bad the UN had to step in and declared it a violation of human rights in 2014. the residents are still having their water shutoff because they can’t pay their bills which oh, just so happen to be purposefully extremely expensive. because the water is being shutoff (the residents literally cannot afford these stupidly gouged prices the city is forcing on them in an effort to kick them out) CPS is stepping in and taking kids away from parents because they “can’t provide a safe and healthy home environment” on top of other horrors they face. can you imagine not being able to take a shower at home? flush the toilet? do the dishes? water is ESSENTIAL for life
but, almost as if it’s nothing, the state govt decided in the past week to take charge of all the shutoffs and turn it back on and provide the first month free and a $25 bill. almost as if its nothing.
all this shit, all this forced poverty on people, all of the ‘lack of healthcare because we Cant Afford it’, all this shit the govt keeps saying to us is fake. it’s FAKE. they turned the water on like it was nothing. people had their KIDS taken away from them. goddamn.

Despite his name, actor Adam Driver was not consider for a role in Baby Driver (2017). This is because he was 33 when the film came out, meaning he was an Adult Driver.

the amount of anti-blackness in the jewish community (let alone Israel) bothers me to its core and its something we need to talk about.
american white/white passing jews can be the most hypocritical people in this community. the amount of racism that runs through their mouth and then the dedication of dismantling anti semitism just shows how much of a white identity they assumed.
now yeah, many jews who came here assimilated so they could fit in, but the degree of assimilation is whats alarming. over speaking poc jews, being incredibly racist to beta israelis, asking for proof for your jewishness, etc. is so disgusting. when you ask for ‘proof’ of ones jewishness just promotes this idea of whiteness and ashkenazic supremacy. im sick of it.
