An Archive of various important posts from the We Are Adventurers Collective. This blog was made after We Are Rogue and We Are Knight lost/nearly lost their blogs and is intended to be a recovery blog should any collective member get terminated unexpectedly and can't recover key posts if they start over again from the ground up. Blog is managed by @thewanderingcotabus
I absolutely LOVE this magic item idea. Courtesy of one of my Discord members. They give me ideas every single day! Please join if you're looking for a nice community of TTRPG-centric folks! :)
Tell me about a location in your world you'd want to put into this book!
If you enjoy our magic items, please drop a like, follow and reblog! :) We drop new items every day and you can find all 129 (and growing) at the link in the picture.
Given how Tumblr is now selling our blogs data to AI art generators as well as a number of blogs deciding to delete their archives in favor of forcing you to scroll through 50 posts of something your not interested to find one thing you are interested, I'm going back on a partial hiatus till further notice. at a minimum everyone toggle this setting on under your blog(s) visibility.
Nirayne is one of the main NPCs (and a romance option) in my fifth edition adventure: The Sunken Tower, and also one of the girls in the 2023 Catilus Fantasy Pin-Up Calendar! Here is her updated stat block next to her illustration so you can use her as an NPC anywhere!

Nirayne is a half-sea elf storm sorceress, her magic coming directly from the sea and the sky. The proud seafaring dwarves of clan Waveborn found and raised Nirayne as their own after finding her adrift in her crib at sea.
Nirayne grew up in Wavetown, one of the floating cities of the sea dwarves, living under one of the city’s lighthouses. Her powerful storm magic and her desire for adventure urged her to take her small boat and explore all sorts of remote and exotic islands as Wavetown traveled the oceans.
When she was old enough, Nirayne boarded the legendary enchanted ship, Darkstorm, joining the rowdy crew of the infamous dark elf pirate Captain Kenthor “Rubyeye” Webcrest. Captain Kenthor quickly put Nirayne’s storm magic into use, unlocking the Darkstorm’s true potential as one of the fastest ships in the seas of Naam.
Nirayne’s magic animates the tattoos on her body. The starfish on her ankle always points north, and the wave patterns on her arm and her thigh change to reflect the surrounding weather.

While grasping the hilt, you can use a bonus action to cause a blade of pure darkness to spring into existence, or make the blade disappear.

A Divine Blade is a rogue in the service of a deity, utilized by their faith to complete less savory activities that clerics and/or paladins couldn’t do. The are suffused with divine power, allowing them to protect their allies while destroying enemies of their god.

We're not really sure where it came from, but we keep it behind as much security as we can manage. It probably won't help - the Hungry Door arrived unseen and might leave a blank wall behind tomorrow if it decides to go.
The door is silver wood, inlaid with ivory in waving lines that hurt to look at. If you open it, there is an endless void within, until you declare your destination. Name any place, any person, even make up a description and you'll step through the nearest doorway that will take you there. The Hungry Door takes its price, though. You arrive on the other side completely famished, as the very life and nutrients are drained from your body. Tests show that it is possible to die from overuse of this artifact, with only three trips having the effect of severe malnutrition.
There are limits to the door's power. You can't get to the middle of a wilderness that doesn't have doorways, and if you're trying to reach someone in this wilderness you might step out miles away from them. There is no return trip - you can get into any secure location, but you'll need to find your own way out.
Even a mundane thief or murderer could become a truly frightening force if they had access to the Hungry Door. It might be an interesting mystery to investigate! Or imagine some sort of agency that uses it to retrieve other sinister items for a mysterious patron.
I hope this helps anyone who's trying to design their oc using a wheelchair, it's not a complete guide but I tried my best! deffo do more research if you're writing them as a character
Day 5 presented us with the question of crits, so here we have a precise pinpoint monk. They don't focus quite as much on raw damage but provide useful debuffs as they hack away at their foes.

This monk falls somewhere between the Way of Mercy, the Way of Disruption (which I made last year), and obviously the Champion fighter, but I hope it has enough of its own identity.
For day 4 of Janbrewary we have the body horroresc way of Extrusion monk. They manipulate their bones as weapons, inspired by the hairy frog (somehow a real animal), or characters like Wolverine/Sabertooth (X-men) and Kimimaro (Naruto).
