Short video of the prototype remedial game that I made for hand rehabilitation. Since this application is for those with damaged/recovering hands, the computer vision was trained to recognize both normal and bandaged hands. All the machine learning and game development was done solo on my own. The game uses a number of downloaded assets which made prototyping faster. However, all assets have been modified to suit my purposes.
This is a link to the first animation that I ever made. Went from knowing nothing to this after one animation unit. Of course, I was new to 3D animation, not art. As simple as it is, I made everything onscreen. It was made to be played in a loop, hence called "Chess Forever".
Screens shots of a mobile app that I made for storing box info when moving house. Seemed a bit boring to me, so I themed it for mobsters moving their loot :)
Given a piece of soundtrack from the movie "Groundhog Day", I made this animation to go with it. Human models are derived from the Morpheus model. The camel was a static model that I adjusted and rigged before animating it. I was kind of mocking selfies here.
Simple Unity experimental scene where gaze interaction is being examined. The koala doesn't just stare at the player, but does look forlornly at the player from time to time. How much the koala looks is determined by proximity and interaction type. I did not make the models in this scene, although the koala was a static model that I rigged and modified so as to be able to control it programmatically as desired. A shader is also being used to curve the world slightly, which helps hide the edges of my wave plane. I was also trying to see how low poly could go with the waves while still being ‘acceptable’.
This is a Unity app made for the Microsoft Hololens (AR headset) A Hololens has very limited inbuilt gesture recognition. In this video, a Microsoft Kinect is being used to detect the hand, detecting a pointing gesture and firing when your fingers pull an imaginary trigger. Please note that in this video I was not trying to do things quickly, and was instead examining the tracking of the orientation of my real world hand. Hand data is sent via wifi to the Hololens. As this was set up as an experiment, quantitative data was also collected by the Hololens and sent back to the server for storage. Simple low poly custom tank made by myself. Programming also done by myself.
