Yes to all the above and that's why I understand WWX basically going no-contact after everything went down.

Even if we take the fact JC owned his life to the Wen sibs off the equation, after 13y JC still refused to recognize WWX's good intentions were simply that, good intentions and not a ploy in becoming the hero. Even with the golden core transfer JC preferred to believe WWX was once again trying to be the hero, to be better than him.

Which is truly mental gymnastics, because what did WWX gain from it? Was he at least celebrated as a hero when he saved the Wen? No. His decision to do the right thing cost him everything. Did people say he was superior for donating his golden core? No, he didn't even want people to know he did that, he'd keep that as a secret hadn't WN said something. He lost everything he cared for, and in the end he lost his life.

So I suppose it is exhausting for everyone involved but especially for WWX, to have to prove to someone that you're not the villain they desperately want you to be. WWX was very patient with JC but it comes to a point one has nothing more to give.

I think the way Naruto acts with his family is a reflection of the trauma of being neglected and alone the entirety of his formative years until very late into his childhood years and you cannot convince me otherwise. Because of bad writing or because he is a man and doesn't need to discuss it (bs), it doesn't matter, the point is that when he was young he needed to make decisions and be alone for many years and being hyper independent was how he was able to survive and it is not something you unlearn that easily.
