i apologize for the lack of content on this page! without any of the rivermoms being in episodes, it tends to be a bit dead here in the meantime. however, gifs are coming your way!

i’m sorry, but alice not immediately rushing to fp’s side at the hospital when she heard he was shot? sounds fake.

alice loving betty too much or “the most” isn’t worrisome to me. what worries me is that she has disregarded all the trauma she’s put betty through for the past four seasons that has been so easily swept under the rug due to circumstance. alice needed the reality check that she got tonight. betty needed to scream at her in order for her to understand. alice’s actions towards betty weren’t okay and yes, while some of the secrets she kept were “for her own good”, betty still felt like alice was a complete hypocrite, which makes sense.
and addressing the whole “i love you the most” line: alice feels like betty is the only child she hasn’t failed. she stopped trying with polly after she fell pregnant because she knew she’d failed. she loves charles immensely, but he’s an adult now. betty is her baby. she’s scared of losing her. she misses when betty was small and she could protect her from the world. that isn’t a bad thing. everything is moving so fast for alice and she hasn’t fully accepted that betty is growing up and almost leaving the nest.
we shouldn’t villanize her for loving her child when only last season, so many people villanized her for NOT loving her enough. just saying.
