Been a while, this is some sketches of Vidar and Kanisa. Been developing the North and the couple with @ridersoftheapocalypse. She’s awesome, check her out for her zelgan babies story. 

And @mintiture for her awesome writing of the beginning of Kanisa and Vidar. 

Na’seema is a hatchling of Ba’puu, and she chose Kanisa as her rider. Na’seema comes to the North to help Kanisa around with her new life in the North with the Direnors and her hubby Vidar. 

I’d imagine the parents of Vidar was quite surprised when their son came back to the North with a foreign wife and a baby son. Sooner or later, they’ll start to accept Kanisa and their first grandson, Kerugan.

“Scientists at UC Riverside have demonstrated a new, RNA-based vaccine strategy that is effective against any strain of a virus and can be used safely even by babies or the immunocompromised. Their flu vaccine will also likely be delivered in the form of a spray, as many people have an aversion to needles. “Respiratory infections move through the nose, so a spray might be an easier delivery system,” Hai said. Additionally, the researchers say there is little chance of a virus mutating to avoid this vaccination strategy. “Viruses may mutate in regions not targeted by traditional vaccines. However, we are targeting their whole genome with thousands of small RNAs. They cannot escape this,” Hai said. Ultimately, the researchers believe they can ‘cut and paste’ this strategy to make a one-and-done vaccine for any number of viruses. “There are several well-known human pathogens; dengue, SARS, COVID. They all have similar viral functions,” Ding said. “This should be applicable to these viruses in an easy transfer of knowledge.””

I absolutely adore your character designs and your art work in general. I was wondering if you’d mind explaining a bit of what your character design process looks like? Thank you :)

UHH. What is my process. I'm not going to lie it's mostly just vibes? Just hey this character feels like it would have [blank]

I think my stuff often relies on either shapes or animal motifs, even if reaaallly subtle. Animals are Great for shape language because you sort of subconsciously assign associations with them, y'know?

But also just blocking out shapes in general is really great for design. Sometimes I take like a thick brush and just sketch out a silhouette.

yknow it's a real shame that romans didn't have access to australia specifically for augury reasons. i really wish i could have seen a roman augur have to deal with australian birds. like imagine trying to properly interpret an omen from a fuckin. cassowary
