What should I write about? My trashy family? About the fact that my sister’s a stripper, or my mom is a high school drop out who drinks boxes of wine like it’s water? Or about the fact that I lost my virginity when I was thirteen? Or the fact that my papa wasn’t around? How about that? Oh, I know. I could write about how up until two years ago, I had enough hate in my heart to start a freaking car.

Do you guys understand how amazing Tyra Collette is?

Because Tyra is a strong, beautiful, wonderful woman whose character arc (aside from the murder thing in s2 and the Tim thing at the end) is so real and perfect. 

She started out as this mess of a girl who was so screwed up and trying so hard to be the girl everyone expected her to be. But then she starts hanging out with Julie, and she’s still rough around the edges but you see how sweet and loyal and big-hearted she is. And her advice, while not always sage, is always well-intentioned. 

I knew I loved Tyra Collette unconditionally after watching her chase off her mother’s boyfriend with a fireplace poker. And then getting her mother that job and forcing her mother to change that tire. GOD THE TIRE-CHANGING SPEECH.

Tyra is fierce and protective and will do anything for people she cares about. I mean, look at the way she handles Tim, even after all the shit those two went through, even after he slept with Lyla (the ONE GIRL IN THE WHOLE WORLD that Tim could sleep with that would be tip of the iceberg for Tyra), she’s still there to pick his drunk ass up or get him out of a fight or go to Billy when he’s doing something stupid. 

And her relationship with Tami Taylor is AMAZING. Tami is really the first person to see the potential in Tyra and try to make something of her. Tami sees a capable, intelligent, all-around BADASS young woman hidden under all the bitterness and hostility. AND SHE’S SO RIGHT. AND TYRA GETS TO GO TO COLLEGE.

Yeah, she makes mistakes and most of the time has super shitty taste in men, but she is SO MUCH MORE than her mother’s daughter. All I’m saying is, if you don’t fucking LOVE Tyra Collette then you are so wrong it hurts.

Two years ago, I was afraid of wanting anything. I figured wanting would lead to trying, and trying would lead to failure. But now I find I can’t stop wanting. I wanna fly somewhere in first class. I wanna travel to Europe on a business trip. I wanna get invited to the White House. I wanna learn about the world. I wanna surprise myself. I wanna be important. I wanna be the best person I can be. I wanna define myself instead of having others define me. I wanna win and have people be happy for me. I wanna lose and get over it. I wanna not be afraid of the unknown. I wanna grow up to be generous and big hearted, the way that people have been with me. I want an interesting and surprising life. It’s not that I think I’m gonna get all these things. I just want the possibility of getting them.

and this sign which like… the fragility of like *not* italicizing the word ‘colt’. Like imagine being this weird abt gender

with like, a bucket that eventually ‘revealed’ the gender

But like… the picture that really just completely undid me, for this party which surely was more money than many weddings -

it’s not a horse themed gender reveal party. It’s a gender reveal party FOR A HORSE. I can’t even like imagine the life that would lead to hosting a gender reveal party for a not-yet-born horse. Think abt getting an invitation to this. the cis are at it again.

So let me get this straight- Veronica being in an adult relationship/marriage while clearly struggling with a dangerous job, depression and perhaps addiction issues isn't interesting.

There was no story left for a damaged private investigator and her NAVAL INTELLIGENCE OFFICER husband.

The more interesting story was a damaged, broken detective pushing-40 while banging random dudes and relying on daddy for support.

Someone needs to get the Veronica Mars show and character from this misogynistic psychopath.
