Tupolev Tu-104 was a twinjet medium-range narrow-body turbojet-powered Soviet airliner. It was the second to enter in regular service, behind the British de Havilland Comet. Like many other passenger aircraft designed in the Soviet Union in the 1950s, the Tu-104 was based on a military aircraft, in this case the Tu-16 jet strategic bomber.

Built for Bavaria Flug, this A300 had a fast life in little more than 10 years, flying for EgyptAir, HapagLloyd, Kuwait Airways, Air Jamaica, Capitol and finally with PIA in 1986 ( crashed in Kathmandu in 1992).
In this picture it’s flying for Condor during 1985/86 (with the blue cheat line of Bavaria Flug).

Images such as these from East Germany, and indeed any state funded enterprise, blur the lines between corporate marketing and propaganda
