the blonde had a lot on her mind as usual. the thoughts just circulating around what else could linger around the corner to haunt her for the rest of her life and she desperately did not want to think about that right now. anything else but that. “ nini, how's songwriting going? any new tracks that you can play for me? ” a smile graced hanna's lips as she sat down next to the brunette at the fireplace.

“ if you're always like this i guess i have to give the unlucky lady my condolences. ” anakin would be lying if he said he wouldn't laugh about this comment under different circumstances. the one thing that usually connected both men was their sarcasm, which both of them seem to be fluent in, but this... it was a serious situation and joking around were the last thing they should be doing.
maybe it was just the fact that his father's rise was on the brink and for some reason it made him nervous. not because he didn't believe in the cause or anything, but considering who he was and the tales people told about him... HE KNEW HE SHOULD BE CAUTIOUS.
“ of course i am, everyone is. ” hearing his companions following words, the brunette raised a brow. “ is that supposed to be a suggestion? ” anakin asked narrowing his eyes. “ and what then, hm? after we crushed them? what do you suggest we do then? we leave my father where he is and take over ourselves or what? ”
"is that a threat? or a proposition? you know i'm already seeing someone."
he isn't unaware of anakin's power — a truly gifted hero that could bring the other side to its knees if he was so given the order. but regulus, a snake in the grass who guards his own secrets carefully, is much too proud to kiss his boots. even now, standing beneath his mother's glow, he feels empowered with the knowledge that his fate — albeit tragic — will have some significance here.
i can't defeat you, anakin, but i won't cower to you.
"you can't tell me that you're not tired of all the waiting," he pivots, lifting a shoulder up towards his ear, "we could crush them now if we wanted to."

THERE WAS ALWAYS A SLIGHT DANGER TO CAPTURE THE FLAG. he knew it, vie knew it and so did everyone else. this also wasn't the first time he got actually injured during it and there were times before where he did get injured worse than this. nothing life threatening of course, but wounds that cut a lot deeper than this. “ see, i told you so. “ he didn't actually mean to say that, it was just a bad habit he adapted with gia and cade and now he couldn't turn it off anymore.
“ if you go get gia i will need medical attention because if capture the flag won't send me to the infirmary, she definitely will for not being careful enough during the actual game. “ a chuckle escaped his lips while his gaze came to rest on the girl. “ it's okay, i know you didn't do it on purpose. i'm not going to hold it against you, i promise. “
VIENNA hadn't been aiming for beckett, but he'd gotten caught in the crossfire of capture the flag. he'd clearly been too preoccupied in the heat of battle to realize he'd been injured but concern had immediately flooded over her, as well as slight guilt. she tried not to stare for long as he lifted his shirt, then sighed softly. ❛❛ yeah, okay. it's not as bad as i thought, ❜❜ she agreed, though she could see some blood. ❛❛ i guess you don't need medical attention or gia then, huh ? ❜❜ she shrugged, then shifted so that she wasn't as close to him. ❛❛ i'm sorry regardless though. i didn't mean to side-swipe you like that. ❜❜ this was partially why she hated using weapons and preferred her powers over everything else during capture the flag.
