so theres reasons i like and dislike it. the main reason i LIKE it is because i think for years after it brings up a lot of interesting stuff with the people who were close to ted (ie boosters not so healthy coping throughout booster gold vol 2) and i think its really fun to have the chance to truly explore grief with somebody who stayed dead for a decent amount of time. and also as much as i love ted his death paved the way for jaime reyes so yeah sorry he had to go /j

the main reason i DISLIKE it is. well. max wouldnt fucking do that. never in a million years would max do that. is max an asshole? oh sure yeah ofc especially when hes first introduced. but the jli were genuinely his friends! j'onn said he believed that max was a genuinely good person and id. like the believe that the guy who can poke around in peoples minds is able to make a good judgement of someones character. and as a max enjoyer i think it sucks that they brought him back after 10ish years of not being used limbo just so he could be evil and shoot his good friend in the head. also he managed the jli i dont think he has anything against metas lol

tldr countdown to infinite crisis is really interesting in its lasting effects but pretty disappointing in its characterization
