Guys, we have a little problem. 

As I mentioned last week, our cleaner Annie broke her arm at 3 different places and even had to undergo surgery.  She won’t be able to clean for a while. She was in charge of Yarichin Bitch Bu and she did an amazing job with chapter 1.  To continue with the project we need someone to jump in.  I could do the cleaning theoretically but since I’m the only typesetter, all the other projects I’m typesetting would have to pause.  So if there’s a kind soul out there, a person who knows how to handle Photoshop (or any other program) and can redraw (!!!), please message us.  Chapter 1 is almost ready for release and we would love to continue with the rest soon. Thank you!!

Buying Digital Manga Part 1: Registration

I buy Japanese manga online through Japanese eBook retailers and wanted to share the process to register, browse, and purchase digital Japanese manga and books for yourself.

There are several sites that allow for international credit card purchases, but this tutorial will be for ebookJapan.

This section will cover how to register an account on the website.  I’ll make future posts about how to browse and purchase titles from there.

1. Browse to http://www.ebookjapan.jp/ebj/

2. In the upper right corner, click the Login/Registration menu and select the second option for “Register”

3. Enter your e-mail address in the provided box, then click the green button.  If you have a Yahoo!Japan ID from using their auction service, you can also use that as your login (I haven’t tried).

4. A registration e-mail will be sent to the address you provided.

5. Click on the link in the e-mail

6. Requested account information, part 1.  The password security rules are suggestions and are not forcibly enforced (for the second one, how would they know?)

7. Account info part 2.  Now you have to set a password recovery question and your location in Japan despite not being able to read the options.  For the password questions, here are the options:

As for the location, just scroll to the bottom option which is “International”:

8. And finally answer some uncomfortable questions and then press the green button:

9. It will bring you to a review page where you can look over the information you just entered (not that you can read it).  Press the green button again to confirm that it’s correct:

10. And now you’ve successfully created an account on eBookJapan. 

Later I’ll go over how to log in with your new account (though you’re automatically logged in upon registration) and browse for books.  Stay tuned!

Hey Guys!

I was on a Skype call with my translator today while they were translating Jealousy Ch 3, when they suddenly told me: “I hate Jealousy and I don’t like Scarlet Beriko’s art either.”. I was shocked and disgusted and then I told them to fuck off.  Okay, I didn’t do that xD I still love my translator-chan but since they don’t want to translate the rest, I have to find another translator.  We’re also in need of a translator for Jupiteru ni onegai.
