It’s something to think about that Lestat let that house go into disrepair n mess because Louis wasn’t doing his wifely duties. Mind u wifely duties that Claudia mocked him for. And like really, what’s more patriarchal than choosing to live in filth simply bcos ur wife won’t clean. Lestat doesn’t even take a moment to consider that he could u know clean their home when Louis is grieving his child??? The implication here is that he still expects Louis to clean n care for their home, even when he’s broken. He goes to fk a woman the moment Louis stops performing wife duties.
