In the dynamic universe of Dreamswap, Dream succeeded in vanquishing Nightmare, but unfortunately, everyone else, including Ink, Blue, Cross, and Error, perished. Dream, however, was not spared from tragedy. The guilt of his actions weighed heavily upon him as Nightmare's soul began to feed on his remorse. Gradually, Nightmare's soul transformed into a monstrous entity, tormenting everyone's dreams and rendering them unable to sleep, think clearly, or function normally. The universe itself became unstable, teetering on the brink of destruction.

In the midst of this chaos, Dream found himself on the verge of falling into the void. However, a compassionate figure named Rosa reached out, grasping his hand and cradling him in her arms. Rosa assured Dream that this was not meant to happen, and though she attempted to repair the damage inflicted upon his universe, it proved to be an insurmountable task. Nevertheless, Rosa managed to bring back Ink, Blue, Nightmare, Cross, and Error, albeit with no recollection of what had transpired. They had been in a coma for an indeterminate period, be it weeks, months, or even years.

Rosa graciously offered them shelter, allowing them to stay at her place. Dream, in turn, began working for her, driven by the presence of the Temporal Intruders, also known as Time Bugs. Rosa elucidated to Dream that these intruders possessed the formidable ability to manipulate time within the invaded universe. Their powers allowed them to distort timelines, alter events, and exert control over the very fabric of time itself. This manipulation enabled them to shape history, rewrite destinies, and sow chaos throughout the affected universe. Rosa herself had dedicated her life to hunting down and eliminating these intruders.

Years passed, and Ink, Blue, Nightmare, Cross, and Error remained in their comatose state. Meanwhile, Dream acquired the skills necessary to confront, hunt, and capture the Temporal Intruders. As he embarked on this mission, he found himself developing feelings for Rosa, despite the lingering pain of his past love's demise. Though he attempted to suppress these emotions, they persisted, and Dream began to feel a deep bond forming with Rosa. He saw her as a second chance at love, a connection that could potentially heal the wounds of his past.

Eventually, Ink, Blue, Cross, Error, and Nightmare awoke from their prolonged slumber, albeit with some confusion regarding their circumstances. Dream attempted to explain what had transpired, but some of them were reluctant to listen. As time passed, however, they gradually began to reconcile their differences and forge a newfound camaraderie.
