I think it’s more of prevention of spoilers since I do notice that book fans have been spoiling it for the show fans. Is it effective? I think that can go either way.

Are we gaslighting the new fans?  I just saw someone genuinely say they thought Grover was going to betray Percy and like OK from a literary standpoint I see where you’re coming from that would in fact hurt Percy.  and like if you’re not listening to the all the fans cry about Luke, then I can see how you would come to this conclusion, but then old fans are gaslighting them in the comments about Luke saying that everyone saying, Luke betrayed him is a joke, a very elaborate joke, I just need to know if we’re gaslighting them or if I need to be concerned about the collective memories of the group ™️

I think I had gotten a great ending with Gladiator Chronicles. I also felt like it wrapped up nicely and there was also (depending on the choice) some closure on the parents storyline.

Whenever I am writing an essay for school I have this imposter like syndrome (not imposter syndrome) where I am always wondering if I am plagiarizing one of my articles but it was so good that it gotten under my teacher’s noises or that all of my opinions come from the articles that I read or videos that I watch. I think Amen is meh and I understand being frustrated with seeing posts of people hating him which is why I believe if you are posting negative and it is not constructive criticism or in depth analysis to tag it anti-x so people can filter it out. With that being said, he is being pushed on us. I am not romancing him but for whatever reason there are always scenes where they talk about how Amen cares about us, the guy who is trying to get us arrested. I feel like he is a bit forced especially when we haven’t seen the female LI in a while either (granted I have not finished this update so maybe we will see her soon).

Honestly the situation with Travis is why I think anyone who is strongly anti-reading artists with a queer lens, I am talking about every artist not just Taylor (I roll my eyes about Larry shippers but I am not going to scream and cry about people thinking they are gay), is homophobic. You are going to sit here and tell me that the woman who has a bracelet with bi colors that says “proud” thinks that I am freak because I read one of her songs as gay. Of course it is total okay for them to speculate when Taylor lost her virginity, if she had a miscarriage/abortion, and so on. I do think that reading songs and coming with your conclusions that Taylor might have experienced X in her life is fine, just don’t bully other people for doing it.

Ok so as a tumblr gaylor I have a few things to say about the leaked prologue.

Firstly, I don't think that passage was referring to people wondering if she may be queer so much as asking people not to sexualize her friendships, which if you weren't around in the OG 1989 era, happened a lot in mainstream media and was much different than a small group of gaylors on tumblr dot com.

That being said, I will not be speculating about Taylor's relationships with specific women she was friends with.

However, queer close reading of text is a valid and recognized medium in academia. It is completely fair of me, as a gay person, to hear and find queer themes in Taylor's music. This is not me "outing" her, or speculating anything, just relating to themes that I find in my own life.

The final thing I want to say is that people are seemingly only focused on the part of the prologue that they think references gaylors, and not about the part right before it that asks to stop speculating about her relationships with men. I feel like whenever she asks people not to speculate about her relationships, gaylors are hit way harder than hetlors, who continue to do things like put Taylor and Travis's faces into AI software to generate what their baby might look like, and making pregnancy edits of her. Speculation is speculation, and if you want to come down on gaylors, you have to come down on the hetlors as well.
