Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje
October 21, 2020
On October 24th, 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov will be fighting Justin Gaethje in the UFC world lightweight title fight. Khabib is the current lightweight champion, and he currently has an unbeaten UFC record of 28-0-0. There is no doubt that Gaethje will put up a good fight though, as he is known for his power and has a 22-2-0 record.

Khabib’s major breakthrough came when he defeated the notorious Conor McGregor by submission on October 6th, 2020. McGregor was the current champion, and Khabib shocked the world by deafeating McGregor as the underdog. Since then, Khabib has taken the UFC by storm, dominating every opponent he faces. He is undoubtedly one of the most vicious fighters to ever step into the octagon, and he is once again expected to defend his title this weekend against Gaethje. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this fight will be taking place at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, with no fans allowed.

In a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith, Khabib was asked about a possible rematch with McGregor. Wisely, Khabib immediately silenced Stephen A. Smith’s question and just said that he is only focused on his upcoming fight. Many people think Khabib is scared to fight McGregor again, but this is most likely not true. Khabib said that he wants to keep fighting new opponents instead of fighting the same guys that he has already beaten. Khabib beat McGregor pretty easily in their first fight, and I believe he will get another victory this weekend. Both Khabib and Gaethje are great fighters with elite records, but I think that Khabib is too strong and too good of a fighter to lose this fight. Even though I do think Gaethje will be competitive, I still think that Khabib will defend his title.

The 2020 NBA Finals
October 3, 2020
The 2020 NBA finals is underway inside of the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida. The Miami Heat will battle the very talented Los Angeles Lakers, who are the favorites to win the title. Many ESPN experts made their predictions for the outcome of this best of 7 series, including the very well-known reporter and journalist Stephen A. Smith.

Stephen A. Smith predicted that the Los Angeles Lakers will win the series in 6 games, along with many other ESPN analysts. The NBA finals series got underway on Wednesday, September 30, and since then the Lakers have taken the first two games of the series winning the first one 116-98 and the second one 124-114. Although the Lakers won both games by double digits, the Heat have been very competitive in both games especially while playing without two of their top players. These two players are Goran Dragic and Bam Adebeyo, who both suffered injuries in game 1 that caused them to miss game 2, and maybe even more.

Both teams have star players in Jimmy Butler and LeBron James. Jimmy Butler and LeBron James are two different types of players, but both are great Leaders for their team. Jimmy is known for being a very tough and hardworking player, while LeBron has proved himself to be one of the best players to ever play in the NBA. In my opinion, I would rather be lead by Jimmy even though he is not as good of a player as LeBron. Jimmy is a very determined player and has a very hard-nosed leadership style, as one of his teammates said “his leadership style isn’t for everyone”.  The Heat are down in the series but they refuse to quit.
