An introduction

Hi there!  My, um, my name is Sophia!  A couple of my friends said I should make this blog so people can ask me questions about myself and Callie.  So um, yeah!   All about me: - I’m 19 years old - I’m dating the coolest inkling ever! - I’m agent 4!  (dont tell anyone else that!) - I like making tons of new friends!  So feel free to ask questions!

2 YEARS, AND OVER 700 ASKS LATER....

It has been an amazing ride. But like most things, this blog has finally reached its end.

I want to, first and foremost, apologize to you. I know that I had a lot of big ideas and plans that I really wanted to put into action, but unfortunately, I became extremely crunched on time, and my motivation wasn’t exactly working in my favor either. I’m sorry I hyped up works that never came to fruition. I really wanted to give you guys an interesting story, and inspire others to create their own AUs too.

I don’t want to end this on a sour note though. I still have a lot to say.

Words can’t describe what this blog gave me. Not only did I tap into my imagination, but I made major connections. Huge. I met so many beautiful people and made so many new friends in the process. Honestly, I never expected this blog to become as big as it did. But I’m really glad I was able to capture an audience. This blog, either directly or indirectly, really helped me find myself. I’ve learned so much about myself the past 2 years, and I finally feel like I’ve found an identity as an artist.

Even though my obsession is rapidly shifting to a new franchise, I will never forget my roots as a Splatoon fan. Ever. This fandom has its issues, but it’s also filled with wonderful people and talented artists of all fields. Music, animation, writing, drawing, the list goes on.

This brings me to the most important part of this- you guys.

I wouldn’t be here without you. Whether you follow me or see my posts pop up on your dashboard. Every piece of support that I’ve received has inspired me to push myself. I’m not great at articulating things but, just know that none of this would be possible if all of you weren’t here. 700 asks. Over 700. That’s absurd. I never expected it. But you guys made it possible. Speaking of, thank you for everyone who nominated me for the Inkopolis Awards this year. It means a lot.

I won’t be deleting this blog, of course. It will stay up for people to look at. I will be closing the asks and logging off, so I won’t be receiving notifications for this blog anymore.

If you wish to continue with me on this artistic journey that I call life, please feel free to follow my main: @gingerreggg - just be aware that my art is mainly Jojo’s fanart at the moment, and it will probably be Jojo’s for a while.

Once more, I just want to say thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. This wonderful journey happened because you all believed in me. I know that I couldn’t deliver all that I promised, but I did the best I could. I will never forget you guys.

Why u never answer ask's anymore. It is so sad, just close ask's. At least it will be a post, not that u will probably read this anyway. Remember the good times were there would be a post practicly every day. 😢

I’m really sorry I didn’t post anything for Splatoween this year. It’s been a busy school year and I’ve got a lot to do, this blog has a big place in my heart but I have a lot of other things going on right now. 

When I started this blog, I was a senior in high school with lots of extra time and inspiration, but that’s not exactly the case now. I keep the asks open becuase if I do find the time and inspiration, I’d love to answer your asks. I can’t say when I’ll be active again, or if it’ll ever be the same as it was before. 

That being said, I really appreciate all the love and support that I’ve gained. I’m sorry that I haven’t been as present as before, but if I can find the opportunity, I’d love to try and get back into the swing of things! <3

Hey, just wanted to say that I was having a rough week and decided to finally read your blog (I'd been saving it for a rainy day). I'm about halfway through and loving it! Thanks for making this, it really helped to cheer me up. :)
