playing rainworld and we spawned an adult slugcat that the game accepted as pup, we named him Liver. liver wouldnt get into the shelter and we couldnt pick him up so we parted ways and spawned an actual pup slugpup and this one is named Vitamin Veins Organ so. hes blue btw. liver was dark green.

earlier i tried playing "Town Of Salem 2" for the first time without knowing shit. i have never played that game, and i didnt want to watch a fucking video on how to play (literally just give me instructions, dont make me leave the game and watch a video. please.). so i entered a game blind, lasted a few minutes before being voted as sus

i was like "bro im new to the game i dont know whats going on please- im sorry-"

and they go "fake noob. you have a house. you're lying."

literally their reasoning for voting me out was that i didnt know what was going on and also had my house changed. i opened the game and went to the cosmetics bc i was curious you cannot hate a man for that :(

my family pulls what we call "rivulet clutch" sometimes in rainworld. its where, usually Aloe, whoever is playing rivulet is tasked with "get the fuck to the next shelter, We Will Not Make It" because the rains are coming.

sometimes it fails, and we have to try again, but sometimes its the most wild shit ever.

today we had one where we forgot about the rains completely and then the world started shaking and we're like "fuck dude we dont know where the next shelter is- Oracle Go" so me and mom were trying to keep up with my sibling while hoping to make it to the next shelter.

the room is flooding. i explode. mom drowns. Aither is struggling to find the next shelter (i barely remember the room, theres a shelter down, i think.)

but somehow. with the screen starting to blur over. ney make it.

and its awesome Every Time.

i broke rainworld with mods by *checks notes* forgetting to turn on the Guardian mod. woops.

the guardian mod is a mod that most other mods are dependent on, it helps them like. mesh with each other without causing issues.

so when i forgot to turn it on, the game wouldnt let me shelter. it would either freeze when entering a room connected to a shelter (effectively softlocking surv and monk campaigns bc you Cant skip the room after long jump tutorial, which is attatched to a shelter) or it would let me in the shelter and then act like i was trying to starve with no pips, even if i was full.

lesson learned! still not turning beastmaster on for now because thats my problem child mod. dont use that shit in shelters, ive fucked my game up so bad so many times when trying to be silly in shelters.

#ravio reacts (rain world) #i use a lot of mods. some are cosmetic (dress my slugcat with scavcat specifically but also some others). #some are quality of life (revivify. pullup fix. omnithrow.) #some are fun and also make the game easier for multiplayer and for just not getting mad (slugcat stats config. mouse drag. stick together) #i use mods to make it easier and more enjoyable for me. sometimes you just gotta pick up a lizard and wiggle it around the screen. idfk.

almost done with the aa trilogy. like. i only have a little bit left on bridge to turnabout, and im excited to finally play investigations!! I've only watched someone play the first two cases of the first game so im excited to see what bullshittery goes on in the rest of the game (and the second one too.)

i have to wait to play the apollo justice games because the timeline. and also i cant afford that rn. excited about that trilogy too tho.

im playing ace attorney (on the final case) of the first trilogy lets gooooo) and i guve the characters voices because im playing it for my family, amd reading it aloud anyways, might as well have fun with it.

i gave gumshoe a pirate voice, okay, and now. anytime i slip into my pirate voice as a joke my sibling or mom just go "gumshoeeee". pirate? no. Dick Gumshoe from ace attorney.

my boob party on oregon trail all died btw.

they were so so close to making it to California. literally one day away, and winter was one day away too. i was booking it, ignoring almost every interaction possible, including chugging coffee and ignoring the stops on the trail, right, and i thought

"winter is a day away, California is a day away, we will Barely make it."

i was wrong btw. very wrong.

all the sudden they all just topple over, immediately dead, no warning. they all died from winter. one day away from the ending.

i had done so well on that run too, because i had stocked up real good in independence.. i had just spent too much time getting gold and talking to people i suppose. i think i had to wait a while at a river too so thay didnt help.. damn.

my ass party also died.

(party: BootyAss, DumpyTruk, BongoButt, GlutesMax.)

i fucked up and forgot to buy food ay the beginning and then one person got injured and i decided "fuck it this is the death speedrun run"

one dude had dysentery, typhoid, and something else, as well as being depressed, all at once. everyone else had dysentery. people were injured.

3 of them died, and aloe goes "now you shpuod try to turn this run around. get this guy to the end."

...i didnt get him to the end btw lmao. his stats were all shit. i dont think i even made it to the next fort-

gonna try the california trail again soon. i have knives unlocked now so that should help, because i can get pelts to sell and or plug my wagon with so i can get across rivers ill also get more meat from fish.

been playing the new oregon trail game for switch, right, and my first group was

pants, a missionary who had the hedonistic and kind(?) traits

off, an adventurer who had the funny and kind traits.

lucky, a farmer who had the neat trait, and i dont rember what his other one was..

and moist, a banker who had the funny trait, though i cant remember what else.

pants was named first, and then we decided the parties theme was just silly goofy, and therefore got pants off lucky and moist.

pants was good at healing and wayfinding, off was good at haggling and hunting, although she kept getting run over by the wagon, lucky was decent at shooting, good at carpentry, but he kept accidentally getting shot because he put the gun away wrong. moist was great at haggling too, but she kept contracting dysentery and then giving it to everyone else.

at one point moist actually left the party because she was super depressed and i didnt have anything to help with morale, and then like 10 seconds later. at the next fort, she shows up like "haha that was funny joke, right? i sure scared you guys- haha- pleasetakemebackitsuckedbeingalone" (Plain Text: please take me back it sucked being alone.) so i let her back into the party.

i ended up making it to oregon with all my party members alive, thankfully.

ive started a new journey, this time the california trail.

this time we have

Honkers the musican, i dont remember her traits

(brother) Boobas the missionary, he's hedonistic as well but i dont remember what else

Tiddies the physician, he has the brilliant trait i think? i dont remember tbh.

and Melons the farmer.

theres a boob theme here if you couldnt tell. i only just started with this group so i dont know their traits super well yet, however-

so far we've gotten a bunch of gold, gotten scammed out of 20 bullets by an asshole, took an unlucky golden nugget from an old prospector (which mightve genuinely been unlucky because Honkers immediately got run over by the wagon twice in a row. broke her foot, i used like three medicine to heal her fully, and then she broke her arm immediately after.), we also spent All of our money at the start to fully stock our wagon and honestly i think it was a smart move? we havent really had to worry too much about anytbing because i had so much meds and toolkits and clothes packed that we were fine.

all in all im having a great time lmao.

new gaming blog post lets gooo

okay i finished sonic frontiers. wont elaborate, just know i Finished it. not 100%'ed it, but i did play the Entire game. no spoilies in this post, just know i loved it.

now me and my friend Lime have traded games pretty much. she started playing frontiers and i started playing sonic adventure 2, which was the game she had finished just recently.

im having an absolute blast. are the controls jank? sure! does the sound design hurt? yeah! but goddamn if im not having the time of my life with it.

this game is so fun and for why.(positive). like i dont even know how to describe it but im laughing over the smallest things and just smiling the whole time im playing. did i get a little lost in the two knuckles and rouge levels i did? yeah sure! but i still had fun, somehow. usually i wouldve gotten annoyed but i guess this game is just good at making me not take it seriously enough to get genuinely upset about it.

like yeah im trying to beat the levels, but im also just having fun with it. i know how the game ends, its been out for years, so im gonna have a good time playing it through!

i also definitely didnt read every single goddamn billboard in city escape.(sarcasm. i very much did. it was wonderful.)(tasty burger sub burger. 99⭐. if you even care.)

my chao are named Barnald and "ビンゴボプス" Bingo Bopsu. (spelt in katakana thanks to my brother bc their full name wouldnt fit lol.) theres a third unnamed child that the fortune teller wanted to name "dino" but i need to ask the council (my family who is watching me play the game) if thats an acceptable name or if we have a B theme going on.

all in all: having a great time despite not knowing what the hell im doing.

#ravio reacts (sonic adventure 2) #i think this is so different from frontiers for me specifically because like #with frontiers i was invested. i didnt know what was going to happen. i was loving it. #and also i only had set time i could play (had to avoid spoiling it for a family member. so only when they were at work.) #so it felt very.. idk. serious to me. #wheras this game is just for fun. it was 10$ on steam. i know the ending. nobody gives a shit if i spoil it because its from the 2000's #what im trying to hammer home is just: this game is great and i also dont have to take it 100% seriously. and im still loving it.

failed a required boss rush twice on the easiest difficulty and sonic frontiers just goes.. "....buddy, do you want to lower the difficulty??" and i just hang my head and go "yes please :("

for those wondering, im doing the "another world" free dlc ending now and was working on that boss rush. i beat it but i havent completed the game yet so no spoilers for the alternate ending please and thank you.

welcome to industrial complex, drawn poorly by yours truly in an attempt to make navigation easier without using the interactive map! it doesnt have Every room, just the ones i usually use to get to the places i need. it also isnt super detailed because fuck that shit, i only need a few identifying bits for each room and im golden. it also isnt to scale. at all.

each room is sized based on vibes alone (or how much room i needed to get the details id need into it.)

yeah i think she likes it. she keeps going "i dunno 👀👀" when i ask, but then keeps enthusiastically agreeing when i ask if she wants to continue playing after each shelter. if she isnt having fun because of the game itself, she's at least having fun playing with me and my sibling, so ill consider that a win.

showing my mom the joys of playing rainworld. he previous experience with the game is watching me play the whole monk campaign for her, then watching me and my sibling play a bunch, and also helping me wall jump in shoreline when i first started playing.

she says its too early for her to have an opinion, but she seems to at least be having a little bit of fun? maybe?
