Fox McCloud, better know as leader of the mercenary group starfox. was one of the most influential figures that participated during the war. Mostly recognized for single handedly  defeating the Tyrant Andross in the battle that finally put an end the conflict.

But is incredible to think that McCloud had been fighting this war since very early on his life.

At the age of four, he and her mother Vixy Reinard became victims of one of Andross’s first acts of terrorism on Corneria. His mother Vixy didn’t survive the tragedy, but the incident also took his legs.

“Not long after… the incident dad got in contact with Beltino Toad” Said Mcloud during our interview “He was a family friend and was happy to help. He repurposed the neurotech that was used to connect pilots to their combat spacecrafts to create the prosthetics that have me standing up now. But he did more than that, he helped with the rehab, change of size, and slippy his son, our mechanic now on Starfox helped me to get up too, I’m sure Beltino did the same for dad.“

“It was rough during those days, my father used to beat himself a lot for what happened and at first I hated the whole process. But, we tried our best and at some point I stared looking at it as a way to push myself forward, and we made it through.”  

At age 17, McCloud joined the Cornerian Flight Academy with no need for special accommodations and graduated with excellency and praise.

The story of Fox McCloud is an example of the horrors of war and how profoundly it affects lives, but also stands as an example of bravery on the face of hardship and the will to fight for what is right.
