slowpez8 Welp! After 8 years we figured WHY NOT. 💍🐕

JoJo and I have been partners, teammates and captain of the other's cheerleading squad for what seems like both 5 minutes and a lifetime (in a good way!).

For those of you who don't know Joey personally, he's everything you think he is: incredibly kind, eternally optimistic, hilarious, FUCKIN GOOFY AS FUCK, supportive beyond belief and always (I mean ALWAYS) looking for an excuse to do this: 🤙🏼with his hands.

He is simply the best, my favorite person, my best friend, my partner in *~*tOtAL iDioCy*~*, the father of our beloved Diane. My relationship with Joey is a place where I feel like I truly belong, unconditionally. Joey is unflinchingly patient and accepting of everyone; he's inspired me to open my heart and be better in so many ways. And even when I fuck up (which is **literally never** lolzzz) he is always there with his heart open. What the fuck is wrong with this dude?! Jk. I love him. Oops! 🤪

I could go on and on about what a privilege it has been to be Joey's partner for the past 8 years, but I don't think I would do it justice. Just know that I am the lucky one.

PS: An engagement is not just a celebration of our partnership, but of the incredible friendships that have surrounded and supported us over the years. It truly takes a village to raise a couple and we have one of the best villages out there! We are so lucky to have the friends and community that we have. ❤️ Sorry this isn’t a haha DEAL WITH IT. 🥰

hamilton - you either just genuinely enjoy the music and choreography, but are able to admit that this is not a true story, just lin manuel miranda’s way of creating more roles for POC OR you’re a 12 y/o who believes all of what happened in the musical is true, ships the actual founding fathers and believes listening to this musical over and over again makes you an expert in american history (you’re not. hamilton gave angelica a slave for her birthday. laurens being against slavery doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have been racist. seriously just read a history book)

heathers - you’re either a hopeless bisexual in love with barrett wilbert weed OR you’re entirely clueless about what makes a character a bad person and you think JD’s hot despite him literally killing people and pulling a gun on his girlfriend

dear evan hansen - you either listen to this musical to get a good cry going and because you appreciate discussions of mental health OR you think zoe was lying about her abuse and connor and evan are both amazing people simply for the fact that they both had mental health issues

be more chill - you’re either just a fan of 80s sci-fi and/or highschool movies who enjoys casual mental health representation being brought up in the show OR you’re a feral child who takes someone not enjoying the thing you enjoy as a personal insult and takes part in cancel culture while also claiming that cancel culture is bad. (also, michael did stuff wrong as well as jeremy. that’s the whole point of the show. everyone has flaws. deal with it)

hadestown - you’re either just a genuinely chill, creative person who finds the musical interesting OR you’re a pretentious asshole with a red flower icon who thinks the only reason people couldn’t possible enjoy this musical is because they ‘didn’t UNDERSTAND’ it.

beetlejuice - either you’re a genuine fan of horror, dark humour and the burton style OR you’re the musical equivalent of a hazbin hotel fan and are constantly going on about how much you love death.

six - either you realize the feminist take that the musical was trying to make (the importance of women being able to tell their own stories) OR you genuinely believe that listening to this musical makes you an expert on the wives of henry the eighth. see the hamilton section, you guys might get along!

tuck everlasting - either you’re someone with a big imagination who enjoys a good fantasy and answering hard questions, which most of you are, OR you’re someone who tries to convince everyone that the age gap between jesse and winnie is totally fine and then gets annoyed when people imply that it’s creepy (which it definitely is)

newsies - either you enjoy the choreography and anticapitalist messages of the show (despite being a disney musical of all things) OR you fetishise gay ships and focus more on developing random background newsies with 2 lines each at most than focusing on any of the female characters and giving them actual development and character in your fics. either way, you’re horny for jeremy jordan and scream all the words to once and for all. (oh and just fyi, writing porn about child characters, even if those child characters are played by adults, is still bad)

the guy who didn’t like musicals - you support smaller theatre companies and enjoy the new spin the show takes on the musical format OR you just think it’s funny because they say fuck a lot and you’re horny at least one of the cast members (most likely mariah rose faith)

mean girls - you’re either a fan of the movie who acknowledges that it’s just the movie with songs OR you’re an ex-heathers fan who’s horny for at least one of the cast members (most likely mariah rose faith)

AMAZON FOREST PSA

listen you don't even know what kind of devastating effect the burning of the Amazonian forest is going to have:

Forests are not helping to combat CO2 the way you think they are: Let me explain

Everybody seems to think that because trees produce oxygen, the amount of oxygen is working against the amount of carbon dioxide in the air and thus, saving us from climate change => we need to plant more trees!

This isn't really why. (Ofc you should still plant trees)

The rain forest or forests in general aren't the best at combatting climate change. They're not even the most efficient. (Seaweed is!)

But trees bind CO2. They use it to grow. Trees are literally made out of carbon dioxide.

If you cut down ancient trees, you're setting free a huge amount of CO2 that is directly responsible for climate change!!!

Do something. Stop this disaster. We won't have time till 2030 if nobody does anything against this.
