W's fashion choices aside, I do wonder if there's an intentional similarity between her spike...things and Sankta wings.

In many ways, W is our prime Sarkaz. A mercenary lost to the battlefield, illiterate, doesn't even have her own name. Saved and destroyed by the promise of Theresa, the King of Sarkaz, of Kazdel. She's got a heavy narrative weight on her shoulders; if she can find a path forward, then so can others.

Now, the angel wing symbolism's a bit muddled when we have Sankta in the setting (and we still don't know how they were formed), and it's a little back-to-front when the Sarkaz are central to the Sankta story, rather than Sankta being central to the Sankta story. Still, it could represent reconciliation, evolution, moving beyond past grudges.

Or, you know. It could be W gloating over how many Lateran guns she's stolen. Maybe she hasn't changed that much.

After reading Ch13, I have this terrible feeling that at some point in the next year Arknights is going to ask "hey have you ever wondered why it's called ORIGINium? ;) ;) ;)" and you know what. No I haven't.

I took one look at that word back in 2020, thought "oh, uh, maybe because it's the origin of the plot?" and then for the past 4 years it's blurred into a meaningless shape/sound. If that's been a major plot clue hiding in plain sight since day 1 I'm not sure I'll recover.

It's a little thing, but I do appreciate how for the first stages of Ch13, Hypergryph remade the Ch3 "fighting in the wastelands between plates" tileset, even including those weird hazard-taped rocks-in-boxes. It lends a familiarity to the scene; it's a brand-new country, but you've been here before.
