On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, the Cowessess First Nation announced they had uncovered up to 751 unmarked graves near the former grounds of the Marieval Residential School in Saskatchewan, a Canadian province. The purpose of these schools was to remove Indigenous children from their families and native culture. The Catholic Church owned and operated many of these schools, some of which remained open until the mid-90’s.

Hours later, protestors traveled to the Saskatoon Catholic Cathedral. There they poured bright red paint down its steps. Across the doors, using the same red, they smeared handprints and scrawled out the words “We Were Children”.

Cowessess Chief Cadmus Delorme stated they believe the headstones or markers for the hundreds of graves had been deliberately removed. They found no evidence of a mass grave.

OK, this is difficult at first, but if you are choking on water (or saliva) breathe through your nose... the difficult part is to think about it because your body starts coughing, you grasp for air through your mouth, you panic and keep coughing... So, it takes practice to think in that moment, but inhale through your nose, exhale through your nose and keep doing it, you’ll cough a bit but believe me it will fix itself.  Whenever my mom started choking she would signal me to pound her in the back, and I would just say “breathe through your nose” while I lightly pound her back, she would get super mad at me “stop saying breathe through your nose, because I can’t”... but one day she got it, she could, it works.

(I’m not back this is just important)

choking on water is the worst because how do you stop choking? drink something? well ive got some bad news for you
