Anti-NPD people be like "narcissists can't change they are evil" and then when a narcissist asks for help and says they want to change they are like "you're not a narcissist because you're self aware"

Because of the stigma attached to being a narcissist, psychopath, or sociopath, many of them avoid being diagnosed or never tell anyone about it.
Usually, the only time anyone ever gets diagnosed is after they committed a heinous crime.
This only leads to more stigma.

Having CPTSD is so embarrassing. People with PTSD are like, “I fought in a war. I held my best friend as I saw the light leave his eyes. How about you?”
“My mom was mean to me when I was little…”

Hardly a hot take but:
If you're a supposed victim of "narcissistic abuse" then it either means one of two things.
1) you do not understand NPD and your abuser was not a narcissist, and this makes you a bad person for throwing around terms you don't understand that actively harm an already heavily harmed community,
2) or if they actually DO have NPD then it means that YOU did something to THEM, or neglected to do something, to deserve their response, and therefore YOU WERE THE ONE DOING THE ABUSING.
YES!! All the people I know who use the term "narcissistic abuse" were the ones who abused a narcissist.

arguing with people who are stigmatized against cluster b disorders is so wild bc they all use the same tactic; first they'll claim you dont know what you're talking about bc youre just a child and havent been in a relationship with a cluster b, and then when you tell them you have they say youve been manipulated and abused into thinking they deserve to be defended, and then when you tell them that you have a cluster b disorder yourself theyll start telling you that you're using your disorder against them, and showing symptoms, and then when you tell them youre in remission and asymptomatic they start telling you that your doctor was gaslighted by you and youre trying to play the victim and manipulate them
all because you dared to tell them that people with cluster b personality disorders deserve to be treated with basic human decency and respect and to be seen as actual fucking humans instead of abusive monsters.
are we sure that pw cluster b disorders are the abusive ones here?
the amount of times ive heard "abusive and crazy is a symptom of your disorder" bestie i will pull out the dsmv right here and show you that neither of those words are in the diagnostic criteria.

i just got done talking to this person who claimed that pwBPD are unable to take responsibility/accountability — when i said that its really common for pwBPD to feel immense amounts of shame and guilt and do everything they can to take responsibility and apologize and make it up to the person we hurt, he tOLD ME IT WAS TOXIC AND ABUSIVE and that i needed to learn how to take accountability like a "normal person" bestie what does a "normal" person do?? act like it didn't happen? but that's not taking responsibility??

Adults: Following rules is good, not following rules is bad
Little me: Okay :] *follows a rule*
Adults: Oh my god look at this loser. He doesn't know that this rule is Secretly Okay To Not Follow. Dumbass. Let's all laugh at him

find it so funny when someone goes "sometimes as an autistic person i think a narc is just like me and are bad at social situations! but then i realize they are actually evil and nefarious and yadda yadda" like? okay so when YOU struggle with being ND and social cues it's okay, but when someone with NPD does it suddenly they are evil

It's not wrong to do stuff solely for attention. Being an attention seeker isn't a problem. If someone does something bad for attention, it's because they haven't been given enough.
When someone does something for attention, and you intentionally ignore them, you're just being cruel.
"they just want attention" THEN STOP NEGLECTING THEM!!!

tired of people on tiktok acting like BPD and HPD are the ‘good cluster b disorders’ or the ‘victim cluster b’s’ meanwhile NPD and ASPD are the ‘evil mean abusive cluster b’s’
stfu.
we’re in the same cluster for a reason, you can’t support some whilst demonising the others.

remembering an interaction from yesterday where my therapist asked me why i was scared to ask the doctors office for help, and i responded with "if they tell me they can't help. public humiliation." to which my therapist laughed at me and pointed out that that isnt, in fact, public humiliation, it is just being told a fact by a person in a public place.
