Maidawan is a small village...with a population of approximately 10 families, located on the other side of corbett... You need to locate this heaven while going via Kotdwar... 276 kms from Delhi .. which will take around 6 -7 hours to reach...

SUV is a blessing to reach out this place... Hatchbacks / sedans are only for EXPERIENCED DRIVERS.

Carry a BSNL connection to be in touch with your family or in case of emergency...And... FORGET data services... however you will have enough content and witness lots and lots of lush green surroundings and unforgettable views..

Uttarakhand Diaries -

A beautiful journey starts, lived and then gets entered in a journal.. these days..its uploading photos on social media... writing reviews on different portals..and more photographs. This entire process then becomes a Memory...

My partner... Who took me to these heights and ensured smooth travel was my i20...

Stay in Maidawan Village and the drive from home (Ghaziabad) to Maidawan -- Nainidanda -- Dhumakot -- Sald Mahadev -- Ramnagar and then back to base.... The entire journey for 650 kms in those 3 days was another experience.. the greenery, the views, were a treat to the eyes. There were 2 routes to reach Ramnagar via Maidawan, wherein I preferred the mentioned route because I had my i20.. and did not wish to take the risk of using it where SUVs can do better and with ease. It's not that i20 cannot take the load of off roading.. it can.. but I did not take chances to make sure the entire drive and stay is peaceful and rejuvenating..
