*swims past in the void*
They should've put an addiction label on Let's Build a Zoo. I can't stop. I love designing. I love unlocking all the stuffz. I built a massive rabbit pen for the front entrance. The nostalgia for Zoo Tycoon is strong with this one.

the new TailsTube.......... I can't yall.
Tails saying this is a segment of his show about talking to hedgehogs he's met..... and brings out Sonic AND Shadow as the first guests... where was Amy...... why not Sonic and Amy.... Sega I know what you're doing.
Why did Sonic need to be there. Shadow and Tails could have talked
why did Shadow need to be there. Sonic joked about it just being The Bros talkin Shadow lore
it could have been Tails doing a reintroduction to Shadow for the newcomers and prep for Movie/Generations
WAS THIS JUST TO GET THEM TO SAY SOMETHING NICE ABOUT EACHOTHER HOLD ON. TAILS-
"Well they say opposites attract!" TAILS YOU CAN'T SAY THAT. YOU'RE GONNA MAKE US GO CRAZY STOPPP
"anything you can do I can do better" and then Sonic mocking him....
Sonic saying he was impressed that Shadow had a super form. Shadow being impressed that Sonic could preform chaos control with a fake emerald.
Sonic calling Shadow faker........... Shadow calling Sonic blue hedgehog.............. they were reminiscing I swear on it...
I'm so normal about them. and that's why I wrote all of this.

Recreation
Over the weekend I went to a historical-recreation-society camping event for the first time in... too long. A year? And it was joyful and comforting and restorative. Three months ago I was sorry to be alive; today, all day, was happy. And the greater part of that difference does lie in physical health, even though I have comparatively little to complain about - illness lifted blessedly off like a break in the clouds in time for this festival - but the festival made the rest of the difference. Stepping aside into a magic kingdom of high trust, good will, dense human connections on a scale that makes sense to our social intuitions, agency in shaping one's immediate environment, a living oral culture, pride of craftsmanship, visual beauty and lightheartedness. And singing and candlelight, which science is eventually going to find to be vital mental nutrients, I bet. I become deficient in all these things, and physical touch to boot, when I stay too long out of the kingdom.
And I can't very well put their pictures here, but I wish I could convey firmly enough how handsome all my friends were. You'll have to trust me. I have dashing friends with spiffy doublets. One gigantically-bearded jovial friend bore nine plumes in his yearly-expanding hat. The landsknechts slouched around like mock-pugnacious rainbow scarecrows in their slashy pants and their fantastically individual coats. One friend was given a major award, and she'd made a gown which I thought was black (the ceremony was at night, on the open green with a chilly wind blowing out the torches almost as fast as anyone could relight them and all the banners snapping) but which turned out in daylight to be deep green, stamped with gold fleurs-de-lys, and a tall hennin (the cone hat you see on medieval ladies in picture books); and instead of walking sedately to kneel before the king and queen, as you might reasonably expect of somebody in that dress, she danced a galliard over the green to them, in the near-dark, with her cone hat staying on and her veil floating and the fleurs-de-lys flashing, and finished up at the queen's feet on the last beat of the music which we had by no means all managed to rehearse, because she's that good. It's good to remember that "splendid" is a way human beings can look.
(The next day she was playing dance sets next to me in a cotton-drill kirtle and gumboots. There's a time to dance, and then next morning there's another time to dance in different weather conditions and contra the prophet none of it is vanity and all of it is great.)

things i've said to my dog over the past couple days that i think sonic or tails would say to the other 👍
>you just threw up, you're not getting a treat right now
>baby i'm sorry your tummy hurts, but i am not a wizard. you have to take the medicine if you want to feel better
>i love you and i wish we could stay cuddled up all day, but unfortunately there's this thing called eating that we have to do
>will you please stop whining at me because i put you down for five seconds
>how does something so little take up all of my covers. what do you need all that for, you're tiny. a fraction of that is perfect for you
>stop looking at me like that, you're not getting another treat
>baby.. honey, my sweet thing. i love you, but you are so stupid sometimes
>if you wanna go play while it's cold then go for it. but im staying under my blanket, so you're on your own
>you do not have to speed eat the rest of your food just because im finished, please slow down
>do you only love me because i give you treats and snuggles? is that all im worth to you?
>stop being grumpy just because i opened the blinds. this room needs some sun

Yeah... when I share my writing, it's because I hope with all my heart that it will be seen and enjoyed. Comments matter a lot! I saved every single one that made me smile and kept them in a folder that I'd look at when my confidence wavered!
And it uh, it wavers a lot, very often. If I didn't have so much support with fandom and commentary and amazing readers/friends, half of what I've made wouldn't exist.
Feed your local writers positive attention and feedback, no matter how obscure or popular! They're like cats, they'll eat it up like they've never been fed in their life.
The 'write for yourself uwu' culture shift has done real damage to fic writers imo. I recently had a post on the importance of strategic commenting break containment and I'm surprised by how many strangers who rb it in agreement feel the need to reassure in the tags that they do write for themselves, but...
There is a kernel of truth in the heart of this sentiment--if you only chase stats, you are unlikely to find joy in your writing. At the same time, I think we've veered too far in the other direction.
It is only natural to want engagement and the write for yourself crowd often overlooks how communal an effort fic writing usually is. So many story ideas are born from casual discussions about h/c's and favourite scenes and what ifs and the comment box is a cornerstone of this process. Not only can the discussions in the comment box be a hub for idea generation on their own, but even when the said idea generation takes place in DMs or Discord chats, commenting is often the first/easiest way into befriending authors; it's where community building starts.
Further, the write for yourself crowd similarly overlooks that the things a writer can write for themselves are often vast and many at any given time, and relative engagement levels across fandoms/ships can play a large part in which of those ideas a writer chooses to pursue--or whether they choose to publish their finished work at all.
In sum, I don't think we need to be this apologetic as writers for wanting feedback and engagement for what we post -- writing is hard work and it's only human that we want something external out of it in turn, however rewarding the process might intrinsically be.

"The fear is what keeps you insane..."
(Based off a couple of MCU scenes that center around Steve and Bucky lol)
Dr. Starline had a lot of potential beyond what was given to him in his run, as do most "deceased" villains. Hypnosis especially could offer some wild, high-risk storylines. I also just really want to see Sonic become a little unhinged when his friends' lives are toyed with.

Shop: is open
Door sign: We are open! Come on in!
Gimmicky flag outside the shop: bright and flapping to draw the eye and hopefully help customers notice that the shop is open
Me: They probably don't want me to go in there
