            🎸  ╱     𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆  𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔  𝒉𝒂𝒅  𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆  by  since  untoward  accident  that  left  the  household  without  a  blender.  father  too  busy  to  buy  a  new  one,  hyunwoo  to  desperate  for  a  milkshake.  ice  cream  seemed  to  mock  hyunwoo  as  it  was  ready  to  be  turned  into  the  delicious  drink  he  adored  so  much.  mixer  borrowed  by  a  friend  of  his  father.  young  male  spent  a  good  amount  of  time  thinking  of  possibilities.  the  answer  finally  appeared  in  the  form  of  the  portable  washing  bucket  that  had  arrived  earlier.  object  meant  to  wash  small  clothing  was  filled  with  ice  cream  and  milk  before  being  put  to  work.  hyunwoo  proudly  watches  as  it  works  when  the  doorbell  can  be  heard.    —    hey!    —    the  other  male  is  greeted  with  enthusiasm.    —    you  got  here  just  in  time.  are  you  in  the  mood  for  some  milkshake?    —    hyunwoo  inquires  with  a  grin,  making  room  for  dohyun  to  enter  his  house.

“  wait ,  no  you  can’t  leave  .  you  promised  you’ll  test  my  new  recipe  ”  was  quick  to  point  out  conversation they  had  last  night  through  text  messages  .  “  i  already  started  on  most  and  about  to  finish  on  some  of  the  dish  ”  explains  with  a  pout   on  lips  .  hand  would  reach  to  turn  off  the  stove  to  physically stop  the  other  from  going  .  “  come’on  , please  stay  .  i  already  prepared  so  much  .  no  one  would  do  the  taste  testing  with  me  and  i  have  my  finals  coming  up  next  week  .  i  need  to  make  sure  the  menu  i  present  is  good  ”  .  technically  ,  he  is  telling  the  truth  .  he  does  need  the  other’s  help  however  that  help can  easily  be  taken  from   own  parents  who  will   be  more  than  happy  to  be  part  of  his  experiments  with  food  .  “  and  i  would  really  need  the  input  from  someone  like  you  ,  you  never  shy  away  from  criticizing  me  so  it  would  be  the   perfect  moment  to  put  it  in  to   good  use  ”  he  smiles  .  “  i  promise  once  we’re  done  .  i  will  let  you  go  and  not  even  bother  you  for  the  rest  of  the  night  ”  hands  would  cautiously  reach  for  his  .  “  please  ?  ”

            🎸  ╱     𝒇𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅  𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒔  compose  the  confused  look.    —    i  don’t  remember  ever  criticizing  you,    —    mingyu  replies.  sure,  never  subtle  of  his  clear  dislike  of  the  male  in  front  of  him,  still  polite  enough  to  try  and  not  upset  the  son  of  those  in  charge  of  his  paycheck.  aware  that  it  could  be  an  attempt  to  guilt  him  into  staying,  mingyu  doesn’t  have  much  choice.  taught  by  own  mother  to  not  break  promises.  a  couple  of  hours  alone  in  brixton’s  presence  is  bearable.  hungry  and  with  nothing  better  to  do,  an  excessively  dramatic  sigh  of  defeat  comes  out.    —    i  did  promise  you...    —    brixton’s  own  promise  is  tempting.  smell  emanating  from  kitchen  quite  good.    —    need  my  help  for  anything?

purposely ,  he  chose  not  to  inform  the  other  that  younger  brother  won’t  be  around  for  his  session  tonight . parents  had  made  prior  dinner  plans  and  he  volunteered  to  cancel  on  the  other  but  of  course  ,  he  chose  not  to  considering  how  much  he  adores  him  .   chose  to  enslave  himself  in  the  kitchen  to  hopefully  impress   the  other  .  hoping  that  he  would  be  seen  more  than  just  some  rich  brat  who  constantly  bother  his  tutoring  sessions  with  beloved  younger  brother   .   “  hey  you’re  early  ”  he  greets  with  a  smile  .  “  the phone  i  promised  is   on  the  coffee  table  with  ben’s  things  ”  he  points  using  own  lips  since  both  hands  are  occupied  with  cooking  .  “  you’re  not  allergic  to  seashells  right  ?  ”  he  verifies  with  the  other  .  “  and  by  the  way  ,  my  parents  had  last  minute  dinner  reservation  and  took  ben  with  them  ”  he  quickly  states  as  he  kept  himself  busy  .

         🎸  ╱      𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆  𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒔  𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉  𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆  would  surely  be  smoother  if  not  for  the  brixton’s  presence;  if  not  for  his  kinship  with  those  paying  mingyu,  the  later  would’ve  been  direct  about  his  feelings  sooner.  mingyu’s  melodramatic  ass  could  do  nothing  aside  from  sighing  and  sulking  ( or  so  he  thought ).  upon  arriving,  mingyu  already  knew  he  should  be  expecting  brixton  to  be  close  the  whole  night,  what  he  didn’t  expect  is  how  close  that  would  be.    —    hey,    —    he  sighs,  taking  his  shoes  off  near  the  door,    —    yes,  i  was  nearby  and  decided  to  come    —    mingyu  explains.  the  boy  nods,  eyeing  the  coffee  table,  and  the  rest  of  the  room,  looking  for  ben.    —    i’m  not  allergic  to  seashells,  no    —    another  sigh.  his  mouth  opens  to  inquire  about  ben’s  absence,  but  brixton  seems  to  be  one  step  ahead.  mingyu  reaches  out  for  his  phone,  finding  it  weird  that  no  one  notified  him  of  that.    —    i  see...  since  ben  is  not  around,  i  should  get  going  then.  i’ll  come  back  tomorrow.

open to: mutuals. muse: jeon jiseok. former idol trainee. plays the drums in a band now. stood up by his date one too many times.

  an hour and a dozen texts later, there is still no sign of his date.   of course, his messages remain unread. why did he think this one would be different? jiseok heaves a sigh. his soda is almost flat, watered down by the ice cubes melting. he’s hungry, too, but what’s the point? he ought to leave and order in instead of depressing himself further. and yet, jiseok stays put, eyes wandering to his phone every so often. maybe, just maybe, he’ll show up, after all. 

          🎸  ╱      𝒐𝒏  𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕  𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔,  jongin  could  be  found  working  at  his  father’s  restaurant,  happily  smiling  his  way  into  costumer’s  hearts.  it  doesn’t  take  long  for  him  to  notice  the  boy  lonely  sitting  not  far  from  where  he  was  standing.  after  that,  each  time  jongin  enteres  the  room,  he  can’t  help  but  wonder  why  he  is  alone.  when  things  are  calmer  with  other  costumers,  jongin  approaches  the  table,  smiling.     —    goodnight!  are  you  ready  to  make  your  order?  if  i  can  suggest  anything,  the  jjigae  from  the  korean  menu  is  extra  tasty  tonight.

  “someone sure looks stressed.”   namseon sets a coffee cup down in front of them before he takes a seat at their side. out of the few lonely souls scattered about the library, they’re by far the one looking the most miserable – which doesn’t fly with him. life in itself is one hell of a stressful experience, which namseon can attest to firsthand, but stressing on their own? not on his watch.   he gives the bag of chips in his other hand a gentle shake. “it’s not gonna go anywhere like this, trust me. take a breather. have a snack.”

           🎸  ╱      𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆  𝒕𝒐  𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒃  an  ounce  of  knowledge  from  the  pages  he’s  reading,  jihoon  empty  eyes  stare  at  the  words.  as  usual,  many  things  race  through  his  mind.  the  sudden  company  surprises  the  boy  more  than  it  startles  him,  it  visible  in  the  way  his  eyes  widen  slightly.    —    oh,  hi,  hyung    —    he  politely  greets  the  older  boy,  looking  at  the  snack  in  confusion.  jihoon  wold  never  be  the  one  to  approach  someone  like  that,  and  it’s  just  weird  ( though  not  in  a  bad  way )  how  some  people  manage  to  do  that.  though  not  very  hungry,  it  doesn’t  feel  right  to  not  accept  it.      —    thank  you.  would  you...  like  to  have  a  seat?
