“Donde todo empezo“

Descripción: Este es un humilde homenaje a los maestros de la pintura moderna cubana. Un retrato del Capitolio con la energia de las voces carnavalezcas de lo que fue conocido como la “Escuela de la Habana”, donde en lo personal la inspiracion empezo.

“Babalú“

Descripción: Balabú Ayé es una deidad afrocubana sumamente poderosa y popular en la isla, que está sincretizada con San Lázaro. Representa ese aspecto metafísico de la mente humana de trascender las dificultades de la vida (como la enfermedad) a través del sacrificio y poder espiritual personal. En este trabajo entrenamos una red neuronal con imágenes y fotografías de la liturgia al santo, luego hicimos que la GAN generara una imagen litúrgica abstracta, con estilo y colores sugeridos por el autor. El resultado fue una obra que curiosamente, decidió poner en el tercer ojo de la imagen una luz del mismo verde con que conocemos la esperanza y la vida.

Description: Balabú Ayé is a powerful afrocuban deity, very miraculous and full of devotees in the island. It is syncretized with San Lazaro and represents the metaphysical aspect of the human mind capable of surviving life difficulties (like sickness), through sacrifice and spiritual power. In this work we train the neural network in lots of images, pictures and drawings of the saint, and then the GAN generated an arbitrary liturgical abstract image, with the style and colors suggested by the author. As a curiosity, the network draw the third eye of the saint in pitch green, the color of hope and life.

Descripción: El dharma, o el camino. Cada acción nuestra es parte de un plan de orden superior que es sumamente difícil de vislumbrar desde el punto de vista mundano. De la misma forma que un animal majestuoso como este camina, es recomendable observar la vida paso a paso, con paciencia y conciencia, enfocados en el viaje y no tanto en el fin.

“Primavera” (”Spring”)

Descripción: La complejidad de la vida es causa directa del flujo de la información en la naturaleza. Toda la riqueza de colores y formas que observamos en la primavera, esta engendrada por millones de años de estrecha relación y recombinación entre especies. Este trabajo (y arquitectura neuronal) encuentra inspiración en esa profunda ley para representar esa riqueza en una red neuronal composicional.
