I’m thinking this will be a slow burn emotionally but will contain smut. Kind of just trying things out.

“When’s the last time you got laid?”
Spencer just sighed, that’s such a vulgar question.
“It’s been a while,” Spencer said while looking at his hands.
This is humiliating. Spencer thought angrily while trying to hold back tears.
“Well, it’s important to take care of your health. I could set you up with a domme I know”
The offer startled Spencer and struck a nerve causing him to glare.
“Ethan, if I wanted your help looking for a domme I would have asked you and why would you even think that was an appropriate question to ask?” I should have known this would be the direction this conversation would go in, all he thinks about is sex.
Ethan leaned back in the kitchen chair while rolling his eyes. He had invited himself over for brunch because they hadn’t seen each other in a while. At first, Spencer had been excited but the excitement quickly changed to dread when Ethan started pestering him about finding a partner.
“We’re friends Spencer we can talk about our sex lives and as for that ‘taking care of yourself’ business-” he said the words while making quotation marks with his hands, “we both know that’s not necessarily true,” Ethan said with a shit-eating grin.
If the first jab hadn’t hit a nerve this one sure as hell did.
“What the hell’s that supposed to mean?” Spencer asked angrily.
Ethan smiled up at Spencer, who’s been leaning against the kitchen counter for the entire conversation, “well I remember taking care of you for a year or so in college.” Ethan said teasingly.
Spencer felt the heat in his face rise along with his anger.
“Yeah and look at what that got me.” he spat.
Ethan looked at his coffee cup looking like a wounded dog and took a breath trying to control himself.
“I know I fucked up Spencer. But getting hurt doesn’t mean you stop dating altogether.”
The response made Spencer’s stomach hurt. He honestly hoped for a more intense reaction.
I forgot he actually cleaned up his life, Spencer thought bitterly. There were a couple more moments of awkward silence until Ethan started to stand up and sighed.
“Well I should probably get going,” he said quietly.
“No, I’m sorry. I got upset, I didn’t mean to be rude, you don’t have to leave.” Ethan stared at him for a moment. “Are you sure?” he asked. “I know I crossed a line”.
“It’s alright,” Spencer said. “I did too”.
There was a pause with both of them standing feeling awkward until Spencer took a breath and decided to bite the bullet.
“How’s Johnathan doing?”
Ethan glanced up quickly looking more uncomfortable than ever. “He’s good,”
“Good,” Spencer replied.
“Yeah, he recently took some extra classes at the community college near us so that’s cool.”
Spencer felt guilty for feeling jealous. Jonathan had always been nice to him. Except for when he started sleeping with your long-term boyfriend.
“What’s he taking classes for?” He asked while shoving down his last thought. This is about seeing a friend now, not an ex-boyfriend.
“French, He says he’s learning to take me to France one day but I think it’s because his mother recently passed, he just needs to stay busy.”
“That’s good for him though,” Spencer said while swallowing. “Keeping busy.”
There were a couple more moments of silence. God this is painful.
“You should come to my house party next weekend,” Ethan offered. “Johnathan's been talking about seeing you again, Trying to make things right”.
Spencer took a breath trying to process what was just said.
“You obviously don’t have to,” Ethan offered. “But that domme I was talking about would be there too and she’s really good,”
Spencer cringed at the thought of being “hooked up” with a woman by a guy he used to sleep with, by a guy that cheated on him.
“I don’t know, I’m not really looking for anything long-term right now.”
I don’t know if I can really trust you to make good decisions for me. It felt bitter to feel that way but it also felt honest. Ethan had proven to be untrustworthy, that was shown through his actions. It doesn’t matter how much he claimed to change he still hurt Spencer and Spencer had to keep that in mind while reconnecting with him.

You may be watching a bit too much Law & Order: SVU because the truth is that for every 1,000 rapes, 384 are reported to police, 57 result in an arrest, 11 are referred for prosecution, 7 result in a felony conviction. Rapists already do whatever the fuck they want.
We fund a multi billion dollar police force that does nothing to protect the most vulnerable communities from the atrocities you are so clearly afraid of. In fact, the police are the rapists and the murderers. If you make enough money, they’ll protect you as a rapist or murderer before they’ll protect a victim. Wake up.

I got this link today in my email from Intimate Rose. For those of you who don’t know they’re a company that makes and sells dilators to help those who have vaginal pain reclaim their sex lives. In this email it explains that Amazon is intending on marking Dilators as sex toys. This would be detrimental to the cause of dilators and sexual health.
As a young woman who has to use dilators to avoid vaginal pain during masturbation I wanted to add my two cents. Thankfully my use of dilators is because of physical pain. However, there are many users who intend to use dilators as a way to overcome sexual trauma. At first marking dilators as “Adult toys” or “sex toys” may make sense but as a user of these products I would like to advocate for my sexually traumatized peers who may need to avoid sex heavy content as their first steps to healing.
I hope my followers will understand my point of view or at the very least be respectful while having this discussion. I want nothing but to respect the boundaries of the people within my community but in order to do this I have to share my personal perspective. Dilators are not sex toys. They are tools that people have to use to improve their lives. Most times they aren’t pleasurable. In fact I experience a fair amount of pain while using mine. It is a tool that’s used for delicate situations. Those experiencing vaginal pain, those recovering from sexual trauma, and those who are recovering from bottom surgery may all be affected by this change.
