ahhh that sounds quite plausible, certainly likely enough to scratch the itch of mystery!

Opened the $.49 fabric bag I got the same trip as Blythe, it's been in the freezer. I couldn't be happier.
After I took that first spread photo (top), I unfolded a piece to see how big it is cut and found ANOTHER coordinating print inside it!!! Then discovered ALL the bunny prints had one or two different additional prints folded up inside them!!
Most are fat eighths, which is enough for doll stuff for sure.
I'm so happy with these, they make my eyeballs happy.
The edge date is 2023 so someone JUST bought these? Wonder how they ended up at the thrift store; these must have cost quite a lot brand new.

I would like to buy a physical copy if there was like ... a set?
Love the idea of your designing a zine. And I would like to read stuff about your patterns.
So, I've been toying with the idea of making a zine/booklet, but I have not had many ideas for the subject matter (I just wanna design it 😅)
Yesterday I had the thought...what about doll patterns? I would still share the basic patterns online, but the booklet format would allow space to be more detailed about the construction process, as well as talk about fabric choice and preparation, possible variations, and include pictures of different dolls wearing things made from the pattern. (It would still all be in black and white, because I have a B&W laser printer, but also because it's a fun design challenge)
Each booklet/zine would be for a single pattern, which of course would be included to cut out or trace for your own use...if that's something that might interest people?
If so, would you want already-printed/sent in the mail only, or would you also like the option to buy a PDF-only copy, to print yourself? Remember, I'd still share the basic pattern online at no cost, but I know a lot of people don't have their own printers, so I don't know how many people would find a use for PDF-only?
Also, would people be interested in this kind of more-detailed treatment for patterns I've already shared?
My preferred doll sewing size is Barbie and Blythe/RH/Skipper (and maybe modern MH? I still don't have any of those), so those are what I'd be most likely to do (especially since that size can definitely fit on a page...)

Yeah, it is. Here's the same doll on Yahoo!/Buyee on the left, and Dollyteria on the right.
Well it would prevent buyers having to pay the Buyee fee, but only if they knew to go find the doll on Dollyteria's website!
Ugh.

That seller is EVERY FRICKING BJD LISTING.

I believe the seller is Dollyteria -- the email in the description is closet child that's the parent company right? So they make you buy from their own website now.

the professional scan of my super sculpey Rollie head (thank you so much @mirrorada !!). from here you can see her mouth is soooo asymmetrical 😅😅😅
not even sure where to begin ... like should I make the left side bigger or the right side smaller 🥲
or maybe just leave it as character. she was handmade after all
ahhh during this typed rambling I realize it's the migraine causing my decision making problems. I forgot this is one of the more frustrating side effects I've started having. I get cold and foggy and then can't decide so much as what to have for dinner or which headache medicine to take. ok so I will just start poking the model and see where it goes. I can always restore back to the originals from the scan.
she's not too terrible from upside down actually 😆

Edit to add:
This only cost $10 to have professionally scanned by Synthetic Ephemera (mirrorada)!!! And it's perfect! They also do 3d printing 👀👀👀

Fur-Bae
Tumblr media
My non-dominant hand was too stiff and in pain for a few days, and I was unable to do much of anything craft or doll related. So I started to draw since that doesn't require the use of my arthritic hand.
The subject matter? Fur-Bae! Fur-Bae is a custom doll by @sarahemakesart combining an LOL OMG body, Rainbow High head, a Furbie face, and I fricking love her.
Tumblr media
Ever since I saw her I wanted to make a quick doodle. Finally did! Except I got a bit carried away so it's a bit more involved than a "doodle", hehe!
Is it perfect? No. Anatomy mistakes? Sure. But it was quite fun though! I even screen captured almost the entire process for Patreon so it was a learning experience as well.

Another preview of this project! I wanted to pattern a well fitting top that would still work for a veryaty of doll bodies, pretty please with the results (・∀・)
For comparison the doll on the left has a 26cm bust and 16.5cm waist the doll on the right is 28.5cm bust and 17.5cm waist

those buttons are adorable, I'm glad you broke into The Good Stuff stash for this lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I made strawberry pajamas. At first I didn't add enough buttons (I still think bigger buttons would look better. I dont like the scale of the print vs the buttons) but adding more of the buttons helped.
Buttons are from isewfordoll and are apart of my coveted button stash I don't like to break into lol
