Quiet.
A pair sit under an old tree. The one on the left kisses the one on the right’s cheek as their tears begin to fall. Left clasps Right’s hand tightly as the two cry softly.
“My dear- my dear- we have still yet many years. In the quiet moments such as this, in a sweetly gifted goodnight kiss, in every moment shared with you- bliss,“ Left whispered so low that if even a blade of grass had moved the lines would have been lost forever, “Don’t be sad when I have gone, for in my place I shall leave you a dawn.”
The words did little to comfort Right, and only encouraged the tears they had hoped to ease. Right clung onto Left tighter wishing to slow the inevitable.
Left looked up past the winding branches and smiled. The stars above strained to hear the last of their earthly affiar and twinkled wildly from the effort. Left sighed lightly and leaned against Right.
“My dear, I think will miss you more than could ever be imaginable.”
All of a sudden, time slowed to a stop- a man neared where Left was sitting and extended his hand from somewhere beneath his robes. Left nodded at the kind gesture, but stood up without any help from the man.
Left hestitated for only a moment. Turning around to see Right frozen in place along with everything else around the tree, Left to the chance to place one last kiss on Right’s cheek. Left then followed the man into the inky black night.
Right craddled Left, watching one last ragged breath- a gentle warm touch on a cheek and then world seemed darker.

She stood bare to the world.
Her thoughts and memories and dreams, like lofted snowflakes- swirled.
In its decrepit corner her terror rose and roared- and into a safe reverie her torrid mind was hurled.

A Favorite Thing
My new found favorite thing is when two [or more] people bond over a shared experience. Like- "Yes! That thing!"
• Readers- the smell of an old book or when your mind suddenly focuses on your surroundings and you read the same two lines over and over until your brain finally snaps back to actually reading the book.
• Artists- the way lead gets smeared on your hand when you sketch; the way acryillic paints and oil pastels make a room smell more inviting and friendly.
I don't really know if anyone's said anything about this, and even if somebody has, it's still my favorite little occurance.

A thought.
You know those people that start laughing uncontrollably when something is upsetting them? What if in a past life they were suicidal or severely depressed and that part of them never wants to be sad again, and that's why they laugh when other people would cry.
