what's going on in the congo since there's also a genocide happening over there as well:

to sum it up, people in the congo are literally being worked as slaves to mine for this material called coltan, which is very valuable as its used for things like phones, laptops, just electronics in general. Congo is the number 1 producer for this material and the places behind this genocide is America, Britain, France, and Israel, wow what an absolute shocker. The worst places probably to ever exist benefit from a genocide. These places are funding Rwanda and Uganda military groups, to go into the Congo and kill MILLIONS of people. This has also been going on for YEARS. Many women have been SA'd and men are forced to work in INHUMAN conditions, resulting in their death and the colonizers are absolutely benefitting from this. 6 MILLION people have been killed and half of them are literally kids. Many of the Congolese people have also been displaced.

Help Our Homeless Queer Squatter Camp to Raise $80 for Refilling Our Community Water Tanks!

April 13th 2024

My girlfriend and I are two transgender homeless women living in Slab City, a homeless squatter town in the middle of the desert.

We live in one of the poorest communities in the United States. None of our neighbors have access to water or other utilities that they don't have delivered to tanks or otherwise provide for themselves.

Summer is rapidly approaching and the heat reaches 120°F

Our camp is dedicated to helping our neighbors and our community. As such, one of our services we provide is two gallons of free water per person per a day.

We don't have an income outside of whatever donations we raise and so if we can't raise money we can't help people.

Please help us raise $80 to fill our water tanks so we can continue to provide this service!

the internet doesn’t feel fun anymore. it feels like im being fed a diet of pure plastic and glass. all social media platforms do is push racist, bigoted, extremist right-wing bullshit, which in turn makes people so fucking ***nasty*** on the internet a lot.

open instagram, oh, there’s some fuckers just easily calling for genocides against queer people. open twitter, oh, you get zionist fucks trying to defend mass ethnic cleansing OR the usual right wing bigots just harassing and abusing people on there. open reddit, and its just fucking slop. same with youtube. all the internet does now is promote slop. and plastic and shards of glass that cut you inside when consuming it.

i feel tired, and its to the point where i don’t even feel like getting out of my bed when im on my phone, because it just fucks with me. i wake up at 12:30 pm, lie in bed and scroll through apps for 4 hours, get out of bed and get breakfast/lunch, and then get back into bed and continue the process.

idk if i can even go cold turkey on social media, cuz i have the bad habit of just reinstalling shit that obviously hurts me and my mental state. it feels like a fucking circular loop of shit that does not help me, while i struggle to find content on the internet that i actually want to interact with and enjoy.

Another ICJ hearing is starting now in regards to Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories. This is the result of a UNGA resolution from 2022 for the ICJ to give a nonbinding opinion on the legal consequences of Israel's occupation from 1967 to present day.

It's still surprising to see people say that when they see the upcoming strike post I made that this is the first time they're hearing about it, especially because I've seen several posts now talking about the same strike.

That being said: regardless of what kind of blog you are, please spread the news about the genocide, the strikes, boycotts, etc.

Even if you are a small blog, spreading word allows for more people to know what's going on and also do their part in protests and strikes, and maybe even the right people will be able to do more than what you're able to do.

And reminder: there is an upcoming strike on February 18th-25th. Prepare accordingly, protest, boycott, call your reps, and spread the word so more people are aware.

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
