Sports, leather and sheer white blouses

Fashions on-goin love story with sneakers, that started with Marant (yes, I went there...) and gave us the overpriced 600 euro Chanel trainer (extremely comfy according to my friend Lea). My choice for summer is, economizing, a pair of navy New Balance + a pair of black Nike freerun 3+. Alexander Wangs niece, you have all seen the pictures of that adorable little thing, with her leather croc-dress and Nikes and a small Chanel bag is my ultimate outfit inspiration. But also, leather runner shorts with sheer white blouses and trainers, oui merci.

Chanel: espadrilles are classy!

I adore Chanel. For summer, Chanel black leather espadrilles (350 euros) is a MUST!!! The canvas, don't go there, the leather ones, mais c'est de la perfection! Pair with a black cut-off jean (where can I find the perfect one? the fit is always très important) or a black (ankle length toujours) jean and a starched crisp white shirt. And black or white pearls for summer is so decadent. My mother always told me never to wear pearls in summer because...je ne sais pas...sunlight and salty sea waters ruins them. Fake or real, doesn't matter, Mlle Chanel was not very picky, she just adored them. Classy! Deauville 2013?

Le nouveau tricolor: black, white, red

A few issues ago, british Haper's Bazaar presented the palette of the season: monochrome white or black, with a splash of red. Thus, I only wear red, black and white. My favourite "red" is a mini Lady Dior (or you could go for a red Balenciaga studded clutch/Givenchy Antigona small in red), paired with a black ankle jean (JBrand, H&M) - or your black trouser of choice - and a sheer blouse in white - Zara and H&M made my selection this season. On my petit pieds (37) I would wear black Converse (the shoe) or else Lanvin flats in black calf skin. Paris is froid and a biker jacket is perfect to hide from the wind...and the rain, and thunderstorms. When in London, Portobello Road showed some beautiful biker jackets in black, red and white - perfectly worn in, for more inspiration on perfectly worn in biker jackets, get Vogue Paris May issue. A dash of red Chanel allure lipstick, perfectly manicured red nails, and the palette of the Season is yours..

Resort shows and Once upon a time...

Joie de vivre. Summer is presque here!!! And thus...the fashion world shows its chic resort collections. For those without a maison in St Barths for january 2014...one must simply be thankful for the nouveau riche and jet set cliques grand fotunes!!! Sans them rien de collections resort pour nous. Uptil now Chanel in Singapour, Versus for Versace (JW Anderson) and Bottega Veneta have showed their interpretations of this magic in-between season (...and very un-democratic season). And, with the resort collection, the release of short-film Once upon a time by Karl Lagerfeld. Deauville et le Touquet mes déstinations été 2013. J'adore les années folles!!!

Thoughts about pre-collections...

First blog post. Let's do this!! We should (and I mean it, no soldes) be shopping cruise collections and instad we crave the autumn pre-collections, so, WHY is the present never enough in fashion?!! Every day now the fashion houses present their pre-collections and first thoughts on the autumn/winter to come. It is EXCITING!!!! It gives us hints about what to expect in the upcoming fashion weeks. And as the brands are releasing pictures of the pre-collections - why do they only shoot fancy lookbook photographs, I remember - before the crisis of 2008 - that they did acual SHOWS. I mean CHANELs cruise/pre collections are the greatest and most elaborate fashion shows ...and the current pre-autumn collection PARIS-EDIMBOURG was just to-die-for - mens' fashion weeks are taking place, PITTI UOMO, LONDON, MILAN...

Exciting times! Happy 2013.
