Listen up. There is literally an app that can help you avoid self harm and I don’t know why we aren’t talking about it.
Calm Harm can be tailored to your needs and will provide strategies to help you get past those crucial moments of wanting to harm.
It’s also totally FREE.
once again, it’s called CALM HARM

Gotta save this for later.
What are some fun bonding activities, that don’t involve modern technology, that two strangers stuck in a snowed in castle can do? I’ve never lived anywhere snowy. I have no idea what social activities people living in castles would’ve done aside from maybe board games and card games but I need more ideas :/
I’ve never spent much time in a castle but I do live in Canada so I have plenty of experience with snow 😅.
There really is something just comforting and uplifting and the perfect setting for chatting about anything and everything about a being stuck inside during a snowstorm. Huge bundles of snowflakes whipping down, the wind blowing up wisps off of the snow banks and trees, pine branches getting so heavy with the snow you worry they might snap...all while you’re inside watching it happen with a thick blanket and couple candles lit, maybe with a warm drink. It sounds cliche but its because it really is something nice to do. Maybe popping some popcorn or settling down with something freshly baked. I think it’s a sort of f*** you to the weather to be all cozy and warm while the snow freezes everything.
Baking itself could be an activity to do together for bonding.
Playing in the snow. As long as the snow isn’t currently coming down hard (a few flakes is nice) there’s plenty for the characters to do. Snowmen and other snow sculptures (they can work together or compete to make the best one), building snow forts, going for a walk in the snowy forest surrounding the castle maybe. But again, I would not set a scene like this with an actual snow storm because that's really uncomfortable to be in.
This might not be what you’re looking for but what if they had to brave the storm together for some reason? Maybe they’re running out of firewood to stay warm and the storm doesn't look like it will be stopping any time soon so they decide to go out together to collect some more.
Cabin fever bickering. They’ve been snowed for too long and now the novelty has worn off and the politeness of trying to just get through it together is waning. They start bickering but have nowhere to go and there is nothing else to do so they just start working through things and having actual conversations.
listening to/making music. I'm not sure what technology you want to use but if not radios maybe a record player or even just starting to hum a song while washing some dishes and then the other starts singing the song and they break out into a whole musical show. It’s not like the squirrels are going to tell anyone about their pitch.
Telling and reading stories out loud. This was definitely a thing in ye olden times 😁 If it helps, ghost stories were pretty popular in the Victorian era like now (though written in a different style of course) so maybe breaking out some spooky stories in a dark and empty castle surrounded by the hum of the wind and the foggy vision from the falling snow could be a great time.

Love this.
Literally nothing hits as hard as that one tweet that goes
"This is OUR day now, and you will embrace change or die on the wrong side of history."
Very tempted to put this as my senior quote.
