They take you home and order in food and give you some time to rest, whether that’s with them or not. When you’re ready, whether it’s that night or the next morning, or even longer, they’ll be there waiting with open arms.

I'm talking about taking baths or showers together without sexual innuendo, as their fingers massage your shoulders or gently scratch your scalp, not letting you leave the bath without playfully tickling your chin and leaving bubbles and foam on your nose or face.

I'm talking about waking up in the middle of the night, perhaps they intended to grab some water or they woke up from a nightmare, and as their eyes slowly open, the first thing they see and fix is the blankets not properly covering your body for warmth.

I'm talking about your F/O helping you out with chores or secretly working on them instead to make it easier for you, and as you ask them if they've done/fixed that, they simply give you an assuring smile, caressing your cheek.

I'm also talking about the reassuring hand grip and the comforting squeeze when they can just feel that something is not alright with you, when you are simply not yourself.

I can't stop crying over this

I had top surgery recently and it's hard to share that joy safely. The comfort and acceptance this brings me is indescribable.
