The day starts to unwind around 8pm in the Lopez-Pierce household. The kids are finally asleep and Santana and Brittany are cuddled on the couch. Santana is sitting in her usual spot with her legs resting on the coffee table while Brittany rests her head on Santana’s lap.

“What are you doing, babe?” Santana looked on Brittany’s phone and noticed she was thinking of a caption for a photo. 

“I love this picture so much.” It was the picture Santana had taken of Britt and their month old baby girl earlier that day.

“I love it too. We really do have the perfect little family.” 

“We do.” Brittany said as she finally thought of just the right caption.

Once Brittany finished everything she posted it to her instagram so her followers could now see the picture. She looked it over one last time with a huge smile on her face. It was a simple picture really, one with just her and the baby. But any picture with her family was always going to be a favourite of hers. 

“What did you choose for the caption?” Santana asked.

Brittany looked up from Santana’s lap and gave her wife a loving smile.

“It says ‘Family doesn't have to be perfect to be amazing. But it turns out mine happens to be both.’ ”

Santana laughed as she heard the caption. 

For the rest of the night the two stayed cuddled on the couch just talking about whatever came up. It was a calm and quiet night, but they both wouldn’t trade it for the world.
