Howdy y'all, I just wanted to leave an update.

I run four blogs on this app and unfortunately, I don't have time for all of them. My life is a jumbled mess and I have to start cutting things in my life that are taking up time, whether that's occupying headspace or it's actually taking valuable time away from me. I can't fit my hobbies into my life, and some of this I know isn't healthy. So I am going to at least do a soft restart. And that means permanently logging out of this application, or possibly deleting some of these blogs. I am working on getting a house and I will have to move in three to four months as my rent will be nearly doubling, and there's nothing I can do about it. And I have to focus. I'll be making my formal closings next weekend, on 11-5 or 11-6

this is the blog I am pretty much keeping, but there would need to be some changes. I will be creating a new Tumblr SPECIFICALLY for pokemon, and have it as my primary blog. I will organize it and have it more fleshed out, but it also won't be the same. When I get the new blog and have the name available, I will let you all know. Out of all my blogs, this one by far was the most positive and I want to keep that part. It won't be happening till after 11-18 though, as that is the day Scarlet and Violet come out and that means changes to already established parts of my blog and I'd like to be more prepared for that up front. This will probably have the softest restart. I will again post the real blog here once I'm all set up, and then I will go from there.

I will not delete this blog, as it can still remain a resource for others in whatever way they see fit, and I can always look back with nostalgia. But I need to get away and no longer have this as part of my day to day. Part of this blog put me in a past sense where I felt still connected to a previous job in an emergency room, and it became more a blog to relive or at least process some traumas or vent them. But I'm better than that now, and I want to move past it. Plus, I have to make better habits for myself and fit my interests into my life so I can live better and in a healthier way.

Have those pokemon ever gifted you anything?

I've received some shiny rocks and trinkets from some of the birds, and the bugs occasionally wrap some silk around me, that's sort of their way of marking territory or saying they like something and could come back.

The coolest thing I have been "gifted" was when a Skorupi got the biggest piece of fruit from a batch and left me with a Razor Claw.

I tried to give it back but it didn't want the claw.

I knew it wouldn't but it was just polite. Skorupi can find those claws so easily so it's really not a loss to them.

I've been given some Gifts from Delilah and her clan before and I gave them the Razor Claw.

Depending on the environmental factors of the place where a Litwick is raised, the wax they aerosolize in burning their flames may take on varying scents. Being near a Litwick that was raised in your hometown can elicit nostalgia, evoke childhood memories, or even trigger vivid flashbacks.

Certain breeders in Unova have found ways to tailor their farms to produce Litwick with specific scents so that they can give their future homes a custom aroma. This trait has helped propel Litwick to rapidly become one of the most commonly owned Ghost-Type Pokémon internationally. One entrepreneurial rancher asked the Unova Gym Leaders their favorite smells, and was able to produce Litwick in association with each Leader to great popularity.

Any helpful tips for beginner rangers starting out in a winter type area

Most of the same info here

But I would also add that you need to learn winter survival skills.

You also need to be incredibly aware of how your pokemon will be affected by the weather.

Water and grass types will struggle the most out there, which is why I encourage uncommon partners for areas like that.

You also want to keep things like an isolated blanket and a shovel in your supplies.

I do not recommend bringing pokemon completely unfamiliar to the area.

It's much easier for something to go wrong, and we want to avoid that.

Be aware of how bad things like snow and ice can get in your area, as some places might be more wet and ice will be your biggest issue while thicker snow will be serious trouble for other pokemon.
