“Really?” She didn’t sound convinced. “This that ‘hands-off’ parenting technique I’ve heard so much about? Seems to be working pretty well for you.”
prisonerfe40536:
“Yeah, well I didn’t see you running to help after the explosion and scream either. I could’ve been bleeding out on the lawn for all you knew.”
“I knew you wouldn’t die, parents have a sixth sense for things like that.” That was a bit of a lie, he was watching her from the window but he saw that her stand protected her.

“You know, I guess when the Mythbusters say ‘don’t try this at home,’ they really mean it. If it weren’t for Stone Free, I would’ve blown my hand clean off. Don’t play with firecrackers kids.”

[Thinking about what Jolyne would do after the events of Stone Ocean and. I think she’d take up MMA. She didn’t really take to school at all, and ran with a gang for a while after her parents split. It wasn’t until she started dating Romeo that she even started caring about her future, and she didn’t even have time to get accepted to a college before getting framed.
In prison, she didn’t really have much of an opportunity to develop any marketable skills, and she really doesn’t want to go into a scholarly career. She much prefers getting her hands dirty and doing things.
I could see her working odd jobs and doing kickboxing and stuff as a form of stress relief for a bit, then she finds out she’s really good at it and ends up going pro.
If not that, she’d go for some kind of trade like being an electrician or something. Just some kind of career where she’s able to get her hands on something and work with it physically.
Regardless of her career, she stays in contact with the Speedwagon Foundation as a sort of “on call” field agent for when they really need something looked into. I imagine having a young, resourceful, and extremely talented Stand user at the ready is something that’s really valuable to them, especially since most of the employees are not Stand users.]

7 and 9!
7 - What features did you inherit from your biological father?
“I think my birthmark is the only thing I really inherited from my dad as far as looks go. Maybe like, my face or something, I don’t know. I feel like we look pretty different. Outside of the physical, I definitely inherited his stubbornness.”
9 - What was an important lesson your father taught you?
“I don’t know if he was trying to, but he was the one that taught me to never stop moving forward. Once he decides he’s going to do something, he doesn’t let anything stop him. Hell, the guy walked in the front door of a maximum security prison and started a jailbreak all to keep me safe. That bastard is a brick wall when it comes to talking him down, and I like to think I’m following in his footsteps in that regard.”

“Believe me, it’s gonna knock your damn socks off,” she said confidently, as if she had anything planned.
prisonerfe40536:
“No, you can’t stop me. Get ready for a fucking treat old man.”
Now where has he heard that one before? Oh right, himself. “I’ll look forward to it. I’m pretty curious for what you’ve got in store for me, Jolyne.”

“Yeah, but I’m not you. I’m going to do something. Don’t try to resist.”
“Tch.” He shrugs his shoulders, lowering his head. “Guess I can’t really stop you, do whatever you wanna do then.”
