      Eric couldn’t hold back his laughter after witnessing someone trip over their own feet and land face first in the garden beds at the side of the courtyard. “Please tell me you just fuckin’ saw that Freshman faceplant those flowers,” he cried with laughter to whoever was around him before turning and looking back over his shoulder. “Hey! Did you have a nice trip?! Where the fuck is my postcard, motherfucker?!” He laughed.

Audrey smiled and shook her head at the boy’s reaction. “I did.” She nodded her head, and continued eyeing the freshman to make sure they weren’t seriously hurt. “Hopefully, they didn’t break anything.”

“To be fair, I never really expected them to come.” Audrey said, shrugging her shoulders. “Ahh, bummer. How old is your brother?”

“Yes, I told my parents. They’re just very busy.” Audrey had went through parent week with hardly anyone even noticing that her parents hadn’t came, but now, someone was giving her a hard time about it. “What difference does it even make, anyway?”

“No, but I’m incredibly jealous. I’ve only gotten flowers on Valentine’s day when my brothers all chip in and get me some. And this one time I fell off my horse and was in the hospital for a week. They didn’t leave a card?”

“Don’t get too jealous. They could’ve came from an ugly, psychopath.” Audrey replied, raising her eyebrows. “Unfortunately, they did not. So weird. I haven’t even really talked to anyone around here much.”

“Sometimes, it’s worse than others. I think it just depends on how long I sleep with them in.” Audrey said with a shrug. “My family keeps nagging me to get Lasik, but it seems like a completely miserable procedure, so I’ll avoid it as long as I can.”

“Ahh, yeah. I guess it doesn’t make much sense to lie about who you are.” She smiled, agreeing. Audrey hadn’t really lied about who she was... yet, but she hadn’t really told anyone the truth, either. “I probably would, if I didn’t have the fear of falling asleep with my contacts in, and waking up with them my eyes blood red and burning.”

“At least you admit it.” She laughed. Audrey was okay with flirts. As long as they weren’t trying to play her for a fool. “That class is so boring, isn’t it? I swear it takes everything in me to keep from falling asleep.”

“I’m flattered!” Audrey smiled. “But I better not find out you’re secretly the class flirt, because then I won’t feel so special.” She thought back to English class for a moment. “You’re right! You sit a little behind me, don’t you?”
