honestly after the emotional steamroller that was kh3′s ending. I think that the smash announcement, just seeing him be a happy boy again hurt and healed me in equal measure.

The former King of the Nobodies; Xemnas is one part Xehanort, one part Terra. As the ruler over Nothingness; he has various powers and ambitions of world domination; similar to that of his progenitor, Xehanort. This, however, didn’t come to pass as the guardians of light; Riku and Sora had stopped his plans. He was utterly defeated and seemed to vanish. That was until Xehanort pulled Xemnas back, out of the throes of time and he obtained a body of a replica (Which he had researched while alive) and aided Xehanort to achieve his goals. The guardians of the light were gathered and a recreation of the keyblade war ensued. Xemnas was once again defeated but this time it was in a much humble manner as if set free from his fate. Xemnas even gives one final smirk stating it must take great strength for having a heart. He once again fades away.
