"Y-Yeah!" Kelsey's nervous laugh became genuine, forgetting for a few moments of the chaos not too far away, "He's my-!"

And then she realized. Optimus had spoken of Elita as someone he most loved. He didn't give too much detail, but Kelsey knew exactly what he meant. Elita seemed to be on board with things now, but in Kelsey's gut she worried of how the bot would respond. But then, her mind threw that thought away. She was proud of Optimus being her Guardian, that she was his charge, no matter what.

Then she tried again, her smile confident and proud this time, "Optimus is my Guardian, and I'm his charge. It's a long story, but he took me in when I had nobody else."

She blinked a few times before realizing. Oh, right, she didn't know her name. "Right, sorry, got caught up in it. My name's Kelsey. I know you mean a lot to him, and- and he'd be so happy to know that you're okay!"

Despite the gunfire in the distance, the casual conversation kept the small human grounded. It was difficult to remain calm in scenarios like those.

Never did Kelsey ever think that she'd be meeting Elita. Optimus had told Kelsey about her many times, so the fact that the human was scooped up in Elita's alt mode and taken to safety was in pure shock.

You'd think the small human would be used to the Cybertronian conflict by now, but being on Cybertron was a whole other story. In the mechanical suit the girl wore, it kept her breathing. Good thing too, as she was breathing heavily from the two's escape.

"Space bridge...was going to be followed by the others but ambushed," the girl managed to blurt out, trying to keep her composure. After she calmed down, she stared up at Elita in awe,"You're...You're Elita One! Papa- I mean...Optimus told me a lot about you."

AU: FEED THE MACHINE

The Decepticons have won. Megatron is leader of Cybertron, the entire species thinking that he is the savior of their planet. Optimus Prime is presumed dead, the human race is enslaved on their own planet. The Cybertronians don’t know any wiser, not being told the truth. Kelsey, captured, was fused with Cybertronian technology; Cables are fused into the back of her head, her mind a part of a mainframe. Her legs have no choice but to have mechanical braces because of always hanging from the ceiling. Her own emotions can change on a dime at the whim of her non-compliance of serving the Iacon Hall of Records, where her Guardian once worked.

Against her will, she works the job, hope quickly fading of ever leaving the building…Until Knockout decides to right his wrongs, and for his own personal reasons, and make a proposition to Kelsey to escape the Nemisis and go on a search to find Optimus Prime. Knockout fixes Kelsey up the best he can, detaching as much Cybertronian tech he can from her. Now it’s just a matter of…oh…Kelsey seeing the apocalyptic damage to her planet, as well as finding out all the ones she loved, are gone, while trying to locate the Autobot leader who went into stasis.

The small human blinked up at the medical bot, looking just as confused. Honestly Kelsey had forgotten that most Cybertronians weren't used to a human walking around amongst them. She was certainly comfortable being around them though.

"Oh um," the charge started, and then her brain didn't connect the dots all that much, her mind short circuiting, most likely because of Pharma's tone, "I walked."

She face palmed herself at immediate realization. Try that again.

"Sorry--What I meant to say is, I must have gotten the wrong room. This place is massive. You bots can navigate here easy but for me it's like a labyrinth."

Then an awkward laugh, feeling the automatic tension.

"Yeeeep I got the wrong room, I'm sorry, I should skedaddle on out of here-"

Narrowed optics regard the other, white wings flaring defensively and in some small amount of irritation. "Where did you come from?" Pharma doesn't bother masking the same in his tone.

The fire pit crackled pleasantly, the warmth radiating around it, the soft glow illuminating Kelsey's face as she sat nearby, roasting a couple of marshmallows. She never had the patience to make them golden brown, despite being patient about most things.

The stars twinkled in a black sky, the world going to bed while the human stayed up. Smirking at her marshmallows burning, she quickly pulled them out of the flames, blowing them out with a puff of air out of her lungs, then squished the burned mallows between the graham crackers and peanut butter cups she had already set up. Immediately her hands got messy, an exaggerated "aww" went from her lips as she felt the gooey substance cover her fingers. That was gonna be hard to wash off.

Well, getting messy came with the activity. So she put one of the s'mores quickly to her mouth to take a bite as the almost liquid marshmallow oozed out, quickly grabbing a plate before the oozing stuff almost collided with her shirt.

She felt like a little kid again.
