watched wendell and wild the other night, and one thing led to another and- oops, oc time!!

she's a silly gal who's only really looking out for kat and herself. she does a lot of things without thinking (like raising father bests from the dead a second time) and gets overly excited about the smallest thing... but, she's there to help kat see all the good in her life, and to lose it with the attitude! underneath the dress, she has more bird-like features, similar to a harpy! she eats bugs and worms on occasion lol

i actually can't take the scooby doo fandom being so sad about this awful adaptation. like i cannot take it its like your little sibling coming home after being teased by their classmates and I can vividly imagine the hurt on their faces trying not to croh my god i think i going to puke

#i pirated the first 2 episodes with a friend and #jesus. #i think what hurts the most is that it's clear there are some decent writers on board #like some jokes really did make us laugh #mostly in a oh no thats horrible!!! dark humor way #and the animation and art is good its fun and expressive #but its just not scooby doo #its almost there and it COULD get there but it wont yknow #also probably unpop opinion but #what they did with fred was actually so funny and i like it tbh #they took the himboness and cranked up the stupid factor to 100 and also now he finally gets to be (more) unhinged #that was pretty good

Cannot express how disinterested I am in seeing traumatized characters "reconcile" with their canonically shitty parental figures.

#ive only ever experienced three mediums where this hasnt happened so ig recs for anyone who hates this trope #asoue (books and show) where the trauma/reasoning of adults is explained but its also explained the children have the right not to forgive #the willoughbys where they leave their crappy parents for new found family #and the good place when eleanor moves on from her mother's past abuse glad she's a better person now but doesn't just forget what happened #all of em are on netflix for anyone interested :] #but anyway i.... hate this trope. icky
