hearing and seeing ceyhan made her heart pound. she'd brought him into a mess too but she hadn't even given him the courtesy of telling him about it. he was better off not knowing. then he could continue living his life and didn't have to deal with her and her issues. "ceyhan." she said, looking up at him and trying to hide any of the nerves that she felt within her entire body. "yeah." she said quietly, looking down at yusuf as ceyhan spoke. "meet yusuf. he's a sweet little boy most of the time.

aylin was nowhere near as mad at ceyhan and what had taken place as the people around her, specifically aydin. aylin had been upset about a ton of things in her life and the first person who had given her attention she had gone and slept with to feel better about everything. it had been messy on both of their ends, but everyone seemed mad at ceyhan, probably because he'd been engaged and while he should have told her, maybe her keeping a secret from him made them even. "it's okay ceyhan." she said softly, in that voice she always used even in situations where she was supposed to be upset and angry. "things happen and i forgive you. there's no hard feelings. i promise."

Ceyhan hated phone calls with his parents, the constant lectures on how he was a disappointment, no matter how hard he tried to please them. He was usually good at acting like it didn't effect him, like it didn't get under his skin as much as it actually did. He was so wrapped up in his frustrations that he almost missed her, the familiar figure at the end of the street. Ceyhan knew he'd fucked up with Aylin, she'd been sweet and he'd practically dragged her into his mess - and for what? His sisters were good at dragging the guilty feelings out of him recently, and he knew he owed her a thousand apologies.

"Aylin!" He called out, walking at a fast pace so he managed to catch up with her. "I need to-" He began, until his eyes fell on the buggy in front of her he hadn't seen before. Ceyhan blinked, his eyes immediately falling to the ring on her finger. Defne had been telling the truth, not that he doubted his little sister, but it was one thing to hear the news and another to actually see it. "You-- have a child," He spoke dumbly, shaking his head quickly as if to regain composure. "I, uh, congratulations," He began, his eyes falling down to the infant, frowning at the familiarities staring back at him. Imagine if she was yours, a tiny voice in the back of his mind spoke, the timing almost far too convenient. Aylin would have told him though, wouldn't she? Then again, Ceyhan knew he didn't exactly seem father figure.

Clearing his throat, he drew his attention back to the woman herself. "Not what I wanted to speak to you about, however. I--" Ceyhan swallowed, taking a breath. "I wanted to apologise, I was an ass, I dragged you into my shit and you didn't deserve it. So I'm sorry, Aylin. I truly am," He admitted, there was a sincerity to his tone that usually lacked, his usually playfulness and cocky nature nowhere to be seen.

"i left yusuf with aydin. i'm sure aydin is having one hell of a time but i trust him with yusuf for the night especially considering i have no clue when killian will be home." aylin said. aydin probably had not a clue what to do, or maybe he did because aydin always had a way of surprising her. "sloane!" aylin said letting out a surprised gasp. "no you did not! why? i mean he's hot but still! why?"

It was a rare night that Sloane was away from Savas, having given him a night off as she'd invited Aylin over for a wine night. "I am so glad you could get a babysitter," Sloane breathed out, pouring them both a huge glass. "I have literally so much to tell you, but I can't really do it with Savas lurking, given it's about him." She took a long sip of her wine, teeth tugging on her lower lip. "I slept with him. My bodyguard."

it was time for their first table read, something the melodi had learned meant getting and reading through a script before any filming of a movie was done. she was nervous, very nervous but she was trying not to show it. how did people do this everyday for a living? she would never know.

she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice lance until he had almost ran into her. that would have been such a disaster! her cheeks turned blood red as he spoke. lance was her co star. he was playing her love interest and he was very cute. "hi um hello." she said. "you're okay." she said, tucking her hair behind her ear. "um well i'm uh melodi." she said. "no, not uh melodi. i am melodi. sorry. i'm nervous, i've never done this before."

Being his first major role, Lance knew how important it was that he got along with his co-lead, especially given it was a romance. Ever since he'd gotten cast, he'd been scrolling endlessly through twitter, the pressure only building given that it was based on a best selling novel. All of this is what lead him to nervously pacing the corridor, going through his head over and over again on how he should introduce himself to Melodi.

"Hi, I'm Lance, you're Melodi, nice to meet you? No. No definitely not that, that sounds too... gah!" He muttered to himself, rubbing his forehead as his teeth tugged at his lower lip. "Hi Melodi! I'm Lance! We're coworkers! -- Nope." Too engrossed in their thoughts, they barely even noticed that Melodi had actually appeared, until they almost tumbled right into her. "Oh sugar! I'm so so sorry," The apologies came tumbling out, rushed and sheepish as Lance's cheeks flushed. "Oh! Hi, I'm Lance! I am so so totally sorry I almost ran you over."

the second melodi hung up the phone she flopped back onto her couch and let out a loud and high pitched, yet excited, squeal. "holy shit!" she said. how was this even real? her heart was pounding and her hands were shaky. she'd gotten the part! in a movie! the lead part! in a romance movie based on a book! after auditioning on a whim. this didn't feel real. "there is no way this is real. they have to be pranking me." she said.

"So??!" Kaddie asked impatiently, nudging her best friend encouragingly. The second she'd seen her friends phone ring, she'd practically forced Melodi to answer it. "Was I right? Was it the studio? I mean, I practically manifested this, and if it was, I totally told you so."

"do i need to pull out the tabloids to prove you wrong? or do you only sleep with other people when you're engaged to be married?" ivana asked. ceyhan was downright despicable and ivana hated that she even cared what he had to say or what he was doing. "correction. that i know you are." she said. "and no, we're not good. we'll never be good and i will one hundred and twenty percent be bitching at you and making your life a living hell everytime we cross paths. got it? good." she snapped.

"I don't sleep with just anyone, Ivana," Ceyhan rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "Again, I'm here with my sisters. As awful of a person as you believe I am, I do care about my sisters and I'm not about to abandon them." He knew staying in town would be difficult, given that Ivana was his sister's best friend, he was sure this wasn't the last time they'd bump into one another. An irritated sigh left his lips and the man pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look, darling, I'm sorry for how things ended. Alright? We good? Because I don't want to have to deal with you bitching at me every time I'm forced to see you because of Fey." He knew he should have left it at sorry, or even given the heartfelt, grovelling apology he knew she deserved from him, but Ivana had a way of getting under his skin like no one else could, and she was far better off without him either way.

"ew! gross!" ivana said with a snarled nose as she watched the other. "and did you figure this out before or after the reason you need a change of clothes?" she asked, smirking slightly. "was it already too late? how much do i need to pray for you and your dignity?" she asked.

Cat snorted as she tossed her old shirt down onto her bag. "That's all the answer I need right there," she smirked, glancing down at the other's shirt she now wore, smoothing it out. "God, not at all. It was terrible and if I'm being totally honest, downright disgusting. This guy clearly hadn't cleaned his bathroom in ages. As soon as I saw that I knew I had to get out."

ivana let out something of a chuckle as she was asked if she wanted any. "i'm sorry to say but the only way i take my celery is in a delicious bloody mary, so sadly i think i'll pass this time but that was a very kind offer." she said.

"good question." thorn said, looking thoughtful. "okay salty is one, sweet is two and sour is three." he said, before pulling out his phone. "hey siri, give me a number one through three." he said, before going quiet as he listened to the phone say 'two'. "apparently i'm in the mood for something sweet. have any recommendations for that?" he asked.

“I’m pretty sure Rafael would like that,” Claudia laughed. “The owner, I mean. Shows they’re open or they get your money.” Okay, taste buds were on the line. “The menu changes all the time, which is fun sometimes. Are you looking for sweet, salty, or sour?”

"you know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. you'll have to let me know if you end up trying it." she said, beaming at the other for a moment. "we've been good. busy, but good." she said. "how about you? how have you been?"

With a small smile, she held up the bag of ketchup chips that had fallen out instead, "Maybe I'll just toss them into the pantry in hopes that someone else will munch on them, maybe they'd be good on top of a burger or hot dog?" she half joked, nodding as she tucked them away in her bag. "I would like that, how have you guys been? It's been a while since we've had a moment to catch up."

"oh! i absolutely love that idea." hayal said, leaning slightly against her fiancée. "i absolutely love decorating for the seasons so that's just a splendid idea." she said before picking up some fabric. "this one is way cuter than the one you just had." she said.

“Exactly, that way we don’t decide on one and find out later we had others we’d like more,” she added as she looked at some of the other choices. “Oh, that’s smart. We could switch out during different seasons even.” She suggested before picking up a set and looking it over. “Definitely not these ones.”

"that's alright." xi said, smiling slightly at the other and moving to lean against the wall of the building. "we all forget things sometimes. it's whatever. someone will come and save us soon." they laughed. "how long have you been stuck out here?"

Arjun resigned themself to waiting, leaning back against the cool brick wall of the building. "I'm sure there's some reason for it but..." they gave their shoulders a shrug, not willing to spend more energy on contemplating the annoyance of the door. "Thanks for texting someone. I ah...left my phone inside. That'll be the last time I go anywhere without it though."

"want to talk more about it?" aspen asked, fully prepared to switch the topic to give herself a distraction. she knew she could really use the distraction at the moment. she didn't want to think about what was going on with her. "i know." aspen said with a sigh. "but everytime i think about telling him i feel sick and i just picture the look on his exes face when he tells her and how betrayed she's going to feel." she said quietly. "but i know i need to tell him. pretending it's not real won't help anything."

"I kept thinking about Astrid's brother," He sighed softly, having briefly mentioned his crush on his best friends' brother to Aspen once before in the past. He hadn't mentioned what had happened between the two of them, but he still wasn't sure what was going on with Colin, and he certainly didn't want to out the other. "Yeah, the cute one," Will nodded, wrapping an arm around her. "You-- oh," Will blinked, chewing on his lower lip. "Aspen, you should tell him. Especially if you want to keep the baby, I know you don't want to interfere with him and his ex, but if you have his kid, you should give the kid a chance to know both his parents, if you're both on board."

"thanks." matias said, eyeing the stack that his father sat down and then looking back up at his father. "i'm alright. i've been busy with work and school." he said. matias truthfully still wasn't positive he was studying the right things in school. nothing seemed right, but surely loads of people went through a struggle like that, especially when nothing felt like it would compare to their father being the chief of surgery at the hospital. "i miss them too. maybe um maybe we can plan a time sometime soon?" he offered.

Xavier's brows furrowed, setting the stack of photos he had in his own hand back atop the box and glanced over, "If you're certain of it. If you change your mind, they'll be in storage." He offered, pushing the box to the side, finally asking, "How have you been? Heidi keeps asking about having you over for dinner, the twins miss you." Xavier missed him, too, though it was harder to admit that part aloud. Though, he supposed that was part of being a parent.

"maybe you could take swim lessons with your daughter." aspen suggested. "that sounds like it might be a really good bonding opportunity for the two of you." she said, smiling slightly as she spoke. reggie seemed incredibly sweet. "i've considered it." aspen said. "but i think being an emt is what i'm meant to do right now. it just feels right, if you know what i mean." she said. "i like feeling like i'm doing something positive in the world."

“I have, but I also have been avoiding getting back in the water again,” Reggie admitted with a slight shrug. “Maybe I just need to get pushed back into it,” he joked, though wasn’t entirely sure it was a lie. “Maybe I’ll have to get my daughter into swimming lessons to help push me,” Reggie added, his eyes widening just slightly, “That’s amazing, wow, in both fronts. I know the Huntsville community center is a far cry from Broadway but should you ever want to get back into it, I’m sure you they’d love to have you. But an EMT, that’s wow, so impressive.”

"thank you stef." aspen said quietly, letting out a quiet sigh and wiping the tears that were on her face. "i just feel like i've made everything more complicated and i know i'm not fully to blame but i don't know." aspen said. "i was trying to do something good for someone to make things less complicated and somehow they're even more complicated now."

“Okay good,” Stef replied at first, letting out a sigh of relief. He wasn’t sure what he would do if he found out his best friend had gotten hurt, even if he knew there were many things he couldn’t prevent. His frown didn’t go away though, especially when Aspen admitted that things weren’t okay. “Oh, wow,” he replied, his voice soft. It definitely wasn’t what he had been expecting. “Being scared is definitely valid, and pregnancy isn’t something that can always be prevented. You have to tell him though. I mean, I can try and help you figure out how to tell him of course if you want, but don’t be upset with yourself. You’ll figure this out, I know you will.”
