Official Kamiya Saki Final Live Crowdfunding Project

On May 9th at 20:00 JST a crowdfunding project was announced on the official GANG PARADE Twitter account.

Due to the impact of coronavirus and extended stay at home restrictions within Japan, the GANG PARADE Hall Tour continues to face cancellations and suspensions. Originally, Kamiya Saki was scheduled to have her last performance on May 22nd at Nakano Sun Plaza, however this was suspended and scheduled to be held at a later date.

Saki has chosen not to continue group activities beyond her original graduation date stating she did not want to hold back the two new groups, GO TO THE BEDS and PARADISES from future activities and unnecessarily prolong the life of GANG PARADE. In place of the May 22nd graduation live, a crowdfunding project will begin on May 10th at 20:00 JST and end on May 21st 23:59 JST. The website Campfire, a crowdfunding website similar to that of Kickstarter, will host this project. Domestic and International GANG PARADE fans can participate in this project! Campfire accepts Paypal and select international credit cards for fans overseas who wish to support Kamiya Saki’s wish to hold one final live for fans. Details on the donation rewards as well as crowdfunding goals can be found below: - 1,000 yen reward tier:

A thank you video will be emailed to those who donate at least 1,000 yen. The delivery date is TBD and will happen after the final live has concluded. - 4,500 yen reward tier (Limited quantity of 1,800):

An exclusive T-shirt available in S / M / L / XL / XXL as well as a ticket to the final live (date TBD) with Saki. For those overseas who wish to purchase the T-shirt, you will need to use a package forwarding service such as Tenso or Blackship in order to claim this reward as there is no overseas shipping.

*NOTE* If you are a member of the GANG PARADE Fanicon please include your Fanicon club member number in the “notes/remarks” column before completing your donation. Limited tickets will be available for FC members.

If you wish to purchase multiple tickets or T-shirts, you will need to purchase this tier multiple times in different transactions. Please do not double the cost of your donation in a single transaction as you will only be grated one reward per transaction. For those purchasing this tier exclusively for the T-shirt with no intent to use the ticket included, we highly discourage you from purchasing more than one as it will prevent those who can attend the live from securing a ticket.

Donation goals: - A minimum goal of 20 million yen is needed in order to hold the live. If the goal is not met, the live will not be held and the rewards will not be fulfilled. 

- If 30 million or more yen is donated, the final live will be available on a streaming service for all to watch. This means even overseas fans will be able to see the final live even if they cannot travel to Japan!

A performance fee will be paid to Kamiya Saki, 5 million yen when the target goal of 20 million yen in donations is reached or 7.5 million yen if 30 million yen in donations are given.

Announcement regarding pretty pretty GANG

On the last day of WACK training camp audition 2020 it was announced that GANG PARADE would be split in two groups: GO TO THE BEDS and PARADISES.

The reason given for this was that the members felt they weren’t being able to move forward; so they decided to start again from 0. In this same line of thought, pretty pretty GANG will be restarting as GO TO THE PARADISE, with a new site to support both groups.

Our twitter account @enjoyplaygang will stay the same and our discord continues, they’ll just change names.

The new site is https://gototheparadise.com pretty pretty GANG site will still be online and we will keep updating it with GANG PARADE news, but the new url is https://enjoyplaygang.wixsite.com/ppgang . 

We’re still adapting as there are a lot of informations we don’t have, but we will keep updating you on everything about GANG PARADE, GO TO THE BEDS, PARADISES and everything related to the groups.

GANG PARADE split in 2 groups

It was announced today at WACK training camp audition 2020 that GANG PARADE will be split in 2 groups: GO TO THE BEDS and PARADISES. Kira May from WAgg promoted to GANG PARADE will be part of PARADISES. Both groups already have twitter accounts and MVs. They’ll release a split single on April 1st.

Fan Project: International Asobinin Kamiya Saki Fanbook

prettyprettyGANG is organizing a project for international asobinin who would like to send a message or create art for Saki before her departure from Gang Parade. We will be accepting any art or messages submitted in a digital format and printing them into a book that will be given during her final live at Nakano Sunplaza on May 22nd. A digital copy for viewing online will also be created and posted to Tumblr and Twitter after the live on the 23rd.

We will also offer to translate any messages that we receive (up to 200 words) into Japanese. Please note we can only translate messages we receive in English or Portuguese. Please specify if you would like your message translated when filling out the Google form.

At birth, you cried without a care in the world, but one day this comes to a stop. With growth comes patience, you cry and shout less.

When you reach maturity as an adult, you don’t expect to cry your heart out. When it does happen it feels out of place and you wish you could just stop. I wonder, when did I stop crying like this?

The intrigue of a baby’s cry, let’s think about it today over ramen.

Hello everyone, I’m Yui Ga Dockson from GANG PARADE.

At the end of last week I went to Hiroshima for an event!

Up until now we would always get food made over teppanyaki while in Hiroshima. During this trip for the first time I ate ramen from Hiroshima.

It was so delicious, I thought I should pay twice the price! And now I’d like to tell everyone about this amazing bowl of ramen.

I went to “Mongoi-tei #2”. I’m really glad it’s so close to Hiroshima station, only about a 3 minute walk away!

First you’ll have to purchase a meal ticket outside of the shop. 

Since it was my first time here I wasn’t sure about what to order. The options on the upper left of the ticket machine seemed good, so I ordered “新二代目”.

The shop’s wall displays all of their ramen along with a description about each type.

新二代目 (Shin-Nidaime) ¥790

This is “Shin-Nidaime”!

The broth is made from sanma paste and niboshi oli.

When you take your first bite, the flavorful punch of seafood will leave you staggering.

The full bodied flavor of the sanma paste is mind-blowing. The strong flavors in the broth leave both a refreshing and lingering taste.

The thin noodles have a nice snap and crispness to them. The smooth sensation of eating them leaves you with a good feeling.

This bowl of ramen comes with chashu, menma, nori, green onions, raw white onions, and an egg.

The chashu is cooked rare, so I made sure to eat it quickly. It’s refreshing to have such a tender and juicy piece of meat.

And when the flavors of the broth combine with the raw chopped onions, it’s truly the best!!

It looks good, but tastes even better. I was really pleased!

I finished my ramen in no time at all. Thanks to the delicious meal, I completely forgot about how cold it was on the way back. I want to eat here again.

In my childhood, I wanted to visit Hiroshima. I have fond memories of visiting with my mother. I really love this place.

Occasionally I would hear people chatting in Hiroshima dialect or the chattering of elderly men. It was too cute!

About Kamiya Saki, since the end of rental trade, as a member of GANG PARADE, she herself has been troubled about the meaning of continuing activities, and as result of several talks between her and the staff it was decided that she will be leaving GANG PARADE on 5/22 at Nakano Sunplaza live of MY FIRST HALL TOUR. The tour final on the next day 5/23 will be the first stage with the new formation after Kamiya Saki's withdrawal. We apologize immensely it became such an abrupt announcement to all asobinin who were always supportive. We kindly ask for you to continue supporting GANG PARADE from now on.

In this occasion I, Kamiya Saki

will be leaving GANG PARADE on 5/22  at Nakano Sunplaza stage of MY FIRST HART TOUR.

GANG PARADE was the group I wanted to start myself after BiS disbandment on 2014.

Without understanding any thing, among several things not going well, to be able to come this far, to have been able to realize my dreams a little,

it's all because of everyone's support since the beginning.

Regardless, I'm truly sorry I made the decision to abandon things midway.

After the rental trade

I couldn't pull GANG PARADE with the same energy as the years before,

and the times I thought “me being in the group, is it really the best for GANG PARADE?” increased.

The members, Watanabe-san and staff tried to stop me from quitting but,

seeing the members filled with curiosity and fighting spirit

GANG PARADE isn't my group anymore, it's everyone's group, I wanted to be in a position to watch over the GANG PARADE that everyone will build,

I thought I should pass the baton to the juniors, so I made the decision to withdrawal.

The memories and recollections of my 7 years as an idol.

Members, GANG PARADE, staff, WACK girls, asobinin, after all the activities I did, the time I spent with everyone I met is irreplaceable, my precious treasure for life.

I had a lot of experiences one couldn't normally have, to have come here is thanks to everyone,

by no means I'm leaving because everyone's strength was lacking, it was my own insufficiency.

Meeting everyone made me stronger.

Until 5/22,

the WACK tour and GANPARE Hall tour, I got many opportunities to meet everyone around the country.

To be able to return the feelings I received from everyone until now,

GANG PARADE transformed in prostitutes, details of the new play by Nemoto Shuko are announced

The details of the new musical written and produced by Nemoto Shuko starring GANG PARADED revealed.

The first collaboration between Nemoto and Parco Produce. The title is “Playhouse”, and it depicts the meeting between the Kabukicho prostitute Miki (with a habit of hiding things since an early age) and the Kabukicho host Ichinose Seiya (raised being spoiled).

All GANPARE members play prostitutes, Isomura Hayato will play the character of Seiya. Joining the cast are Kurihara Louis, Torigoe Yuki, Tomizawa Kazuhito (Haegiwa), Blue & Sky, Nekoze Tsubaki (Otona Keikaku). The play will be performed from August 25th to September 1st in Tokyo at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and on September 28th in Osaka at Morinomiya Piloti Hall. Ticket sales will start on June 22nd at the theaters respective play guides.

Nemoto Shuko comment

This time I received the proposition of making a project like a summer festival for first Parco Produce, when I thought about what I wanted to do, what came to my mind was making a musical with the group I've been a fan of since before, “GANG PARADE”! There's obviously the aspect of GANPARE songs being good, but I also find fascinating the emotion, performance and drama que group itself has with member changes etc. The member's emotion and emotion from the world I write overlaps, I'm excited that a piece not seen until now will come to life. The cast starts with Isomura-san, gathering people who work with plays and pictures that I wanted to work with someday. As a play it welcomes GANPARE's first stage as actors, something you don't see normally, and with a unique cast with people experienced in acting I believe you can except something great to happen. People who don't watch plays usually, GANPARE fans, theater play fans, and everyone related to entertainment, please come see what the match of idols and theater play can do. I certainly believe this new art will open a door of pleasure within everyone.

P.S. Everyone in GANPARE will be playing the roles of prostitutes. To all fans, I'll apologize in advance, I'm sorry.

GANG PARADE comment

We'll challenge in our first theater stage performance. Moreover in a musical with our own songs, we can't imagine it right now but anyhow, it's exciting! With overwhelming lines of Nemoto-san's plays, and interesting unexpected developments, we're anxious of entering that properly but, with the help of Nemoto-san and an experienced cast, we'll give our best. With a different arrange of songs and choreography than usual, and with the play, we believe you'll see us completely different from lives. We'll be happy if you come to watch our first stage in the theaters.

Isomura Hayato comment

It'll be my first work in a musical with original script by Nemoto-san. Moreover with everyone full of character from GANG PARADE-san. In an unimaginable stage, from now I'm filled with excitement. Even so, I also feel it's an occasion for a new challenge. What kind of chemistry will happen by co-starring with the girls, in a newly produced world, my curiosity blood is effervescing. We'll start practicing from now but, I'll run into it so everyone's overflowing feelings can be conveyed.

GANPARE999: Hawaii trip & Kamiya Saki solo

Today (4/20) GANG PARADE members held solo events on 9 different Tower Record stores, GANPARE999. The event had a bingo system, for every 10 tickets they received for cheki they would draw a number. If it was between 1 and 25 they would mark it on the bingo panel, if not, they had to do whatever was written on the paper (change to maid outfits, bunny girls, MV outfits, cosplay, glasses, bald wig, mentaiko lips, wooden swords, etc). The event had 3 sessions of 1 hour each and ended on a mini live and result announcement at Tower Records Shibuya.  Prizes included a Hawaii trip for who completed the whole bingo panel, Yakiniku with asobinin for those who moved staff hearts, and solo song for the member with most interactions in her event tag! For everyone’s joy all 9 managed to get full bingo, meaning all members will be going to Hawaii!! Yakiniku prize was given to Kamiya Saki and Haruna BadChiiiin and the so awaited solo song in next release will be Saki’s, with over 10,000 likes in one of her tweets.

At the end of the event another one was announced for 4/26! GANPARE999 Thank Festival! In this event fans can get hugs from all members and group chekis, but to participate in it they have to listen to 999 minutes of BRAND NEW PARADE in LINE Music stream service (roughly 290 plays, to be verified by “your top 50 songs” in the app).

In our vol.3 of Column Parade we bring you a (very) short analysis of lyrics, music video and cover of GANG PARADE’s major debut single BRAND NEW PARADE.

GANG PARADE might be one of the idol groups that sings about themselves the most, even though it doesn’t look like it. With their major debut under WARNER JAPAN it’s no different. What other way to start major if not singing about your own group? But with a drama oriented MV that probably cost a lot of money, there’s much more meaning than what we can see at first glance.

The song starts with with the call “Yeah yeah!! We won’t lose! HEY HEY!! We’ll do the unexpected!”, that resembles QUEEN OF POP’s upbeat and fun sound. The song reminds us of the groups history full of obstacles that, no matter how hard they were, served to make them stronger. Falling and reviving many times with several lineup changes made each member wiser, knowing that living might be hard but you have to do something about it. Giving up on just waiting and taking action, even if things don’t go well like in movies, they’ll still make it go smoothly like in a drama, doing the impossible becomes real.

The chorus brings the essence of GANG PARADE: finding the answer as necessary, no matter how many times they were tested. “HEY HEY it’s alright”, because they are used to it and more importantly, welcoming everything that comes their way to make them stronger. And with that new attitude of embracing the hardships and acting on them, a BRAND NEW PARADE is born.

The lyrics might reflect the group’s attitude as part of their history, but also can be interpreted and understood by anyone who is looking for a new perspective in life. In this sense we have the music video, with their first story oriented MV featuring a lot of actors and a story with a lot of meaning.

The main character, Tsuno, is seen talking to his friend about games when a girl he likes enters the classroom and he gets distracted. His friend asks him if he’s listening, to which he replies yes but then something starts to appear in his forehead. Whatever it is, it’s not good, and the girls (dressed as the coolest and cutest galaxy demons) let us know that. Tsuno borrows his friend’s game and immerses himself, thinking about that and the girl he likes, Ayami. When a popular guy in the class invites Tsuno to a night pool party, we can see how Tsuno and his friend’s relationship is not going well. During the party, after finally feeling accepted by others, Tsuno sees Ayami and when she walks past him towards the popular guy he can feel his heart break. Then we see Ayami, who we thought was popular and confident, acting shy and awkward near the popular guy, and being rejected before she could really say anything. Whatever appeared in Tsuno’s forehead starts to grow and what is most surprising, Ayami also has one. He make his way towards her and both are embraced in horns, even though no one seems to notice.

Then, in the middle of the classroom our main characters meet the members who sing to them about finding the right answer, solving the hard questions and doing something about it.

Back in the pool Tsuno tells Ayami exactly that, she has to do something or things will stay the same. Ayami gathers courage and tries again, making her forehead horn fall. Tsuno watches and feels happy for her, but knows he must do the same. On the next day he approaches his friend, thanking him for the game but telling him it was boring to play alone. His friend starts talking to him again about the main character of the manga he’s been reading coming back and that’s when Tsuno’s horn finally falls too. In the end Ayami is seen picking it up and the music video ends.

The horns, even though a clear reference to FLCL, also represent everyone’s complexes and insecurities. They are there, like a giant sign in our foreheads, no one else sees it but ourselves and those who pay close attention, like Tsuno’s friend who tries to help him with a band-aid. Unfortunately, insecurities aren’t something you can just cover and pretend that don’t exist.

When we’re overwhelmed with those insecurities, they grow and take us over and that’s when we’re forced to connect to ourselves and our truths to solve the questions that paralyze us.

Finally, we have the promotion photos and CD cover. For the promo posters the members appear to be naked under a red cloth, for the cover the same red cloth seems to be covering something. The CD cover points to the reveal of something new (perhaps the new member Naruha World?) and since with the major debut a new start line begins, the posters symbolize them being born as a new group.

This way, GANG PARADE brings us an amazing song and music video, both very fitting to their first single under a major label. With member’s motivation and a new lineup coming soon, we can only expect great things from now on.

The new art photo and single cover for GANG PARADE’s major debut were revealed! The single is titled BRAND NEW PARADE and will be released on April 14th! Coupling song has lyrics by Terashima Yuuka and is called Dreamer.
