dustin grins at her words, he liked her already, he was curious. he wondered what she'd been getting up to, had she been at a party or was she hooking up with someone? "stop? really?!" dustin replies, a small chuckle falling from his lips, he's confused but he still wants to know more about her, "shit, yeah. i'm down, i reckon i can keep up" he'd power through the hangover he had, if it meant he could spend a night with her, "let's do it. are you far from here?" he asks.

fun was one way to put it. to be tangled up in a stranger's sheets, indulge in primal pleasures — fun didn't fully encapsulate the euphoria tabitha felt when hooking up with people. she's just about to answer when he agrees with her earlier statement and mentions that he wants to join her. that makes her laugh. The second she hits the couch, Anthony moves closer, dragging her legs over his lap as he starts massaging her calves, convinced that she needed it even if she hadn't voiced it. "You know I love your mum but I'm more than willing to place the blame elsewhere." Even if he had a strong suspicion that their energy came directly from him and his ADHD. "That's fair but in my defense, I had a feeling I was doing a lot more damage by distracting them, but I will happily take the nighttime shift. You hungry? Want anything?"

as soon as reese sees nyx, her face lights up, she'd missed her, she jumps from the desk. "surprise!" reese was so happy to see nyx, it had been too long, she's pulled into a hug, she never wants to let go. "i'm here. this isn't a dream" she presses a kiss to nyx's cheek, "i diiiid but they got cancelled. so i thought i'd come out here to see you".

Nyx strolled into the dressing room with the assumption of solitude, only to find Reese waiting unexpectedly. Startled, she let out an exclamation that elicited laughter from those nearby, before swiftly transitioning into a tender embrace upon seeing her beloved Reese. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed, then softened into a gentle "Babe!" as she drew near, enveloping Reese in an affectionate hug. "Your here? I thought you had plans!"

"perfect" live replies, the pair make their way over to the booth, her stomach flipping with nerves. they slip into the booth, liv is excited, she couldn't wait to hear more about astur, she takes a sip from the cocktail in her hand, thinking back to when she first became an influencer. "i didn't plan for it to happen but i definitely watched a lot of youtubers as a kid, that inspired me" she tells her, "and one day, one of my outfit posts on instagram got noticed the rest is history". liv listens, nodding, "oh. that's awesome! you're giving rory gilmore vibes, it's cute" she pauses, "what's the most interesting thing you've written about so far?" she asks, curious to know.

“Booth it is then,” she chirps, hand decisively wrapping around her drink before she leads the two of them towards the empty booth she’d spotted. It’s cozy and comfortable and, what’s more important, Astur doesn’t even need to raise her voice so much for the other to hear her. “That’s so interesting. What sort of stuff do you do? And did you plan to be an influencer? Or did you just randomly blow up one day?”  There they were, the rapid-fire questions that she’d warned her about. It hadn’t taken Astur that long to whip them out, after all. “I’m just really, really curious. I want to know all the information, always. And I also really enjoy writing so it just kind of made sense, you know? I’d love to cover more serious issues and stuff eventually, but,” she shrugs, “I’ve really been enjoying it so far.”

eyes give her outfit one last glance. "you look great in that dress, though." they're close enough friends for him to be allowed to compliment her on that stuff, right? "we kind of look like spies. you know, like in kingsman or some shit. the ones who dress up in stupidly formal outfits all the time." teddy prefers comfy clothes, but they do think the two of them look nice. "wait, we should take a selfie together first." he gestures for her to come closer as he takes out his phone and opens the front cam.

"you're right and even if there were other versions of you on this planet, you'd be my favourite" ryan was starting to ramble now, the drink was talking, his cheeks flushed pink. he notices her face falling and he starts to worry, had he fucked up already? they were only a few minutes into the year and he'd already upset her, shit. he looks down at her, offering her a small smile, "i mean...you don't have to, if you'd rather me just walk you home, i can do that too" . could he salvage this, he hoped so, "sorry, i feel like i said the wrong thing there".

"good. i don't think any other versions exist." and callie has tried. she's tried to so hard to be someone else. more or less, though, she has kind of accepted now that this is who she is. the fact that he didn't throw away their entire friendship after he witnessed one of her breakdowns has helped her so much. it's one of the main reasons her feelings for him have deepened. "yeah, of course." her face falls slightly. she does really enjoy hooking up with him, but she's hoping there's more to their relationship now than just that.

all of a sudden jaya felt nervous, she realised that this was actually happening, first-date jitters. still, she, approached blake and she flashed her the signature confident jaya smile, she noticed that blake looked just like her photos, phew, she'd not been catfished. reese would never let her live that down, if it actually happened, "yeah. that's me" she was trying her best to be relaxed, she didn't want to embarrass herself in font of the two of them, they seemed very cool, "well it's nice to meet you both. this is reese..." she gestures towards her friend.

reese eyes up blake and jace, grinning, they were both very good-looking, jaya had done well. she gently nudges her friend in the side, "hey. i can introduce myself dude" her tone was teasing, "but she's right, i'm reese" she assumed that jace was her date, jaya had sworn off boys for a little while. her last date with a guy was a disaster, she'd had to call reese and reese had to pretend she'd had to go to a&e, the girls spent the rest of the night eating takeaway & watching old episodes of love island together. "how's everyone doing for drinks? i can get some more in" she suggests, now very curious to see how this night would turn out.

“ oh, shut up. “ she swats him in the arm, smirking when she hears a hiss fall from his lips. she knows damn well that he wasn’t joking, and that he would bail if she did take it a step too far with her date. but, she needed a lot of tequila shots for something like that to happen. and even though she planned on drinking tonight, she wasn’t going to drink heavily. she saved that sort of thing for parties, and celebrations after one of their shows. brows lift when her gaze meets jaya’s, a small smile gracing her lips. “ i’m ninety percent sure that’s them coming this way so, be nice. “ she mutters under her breath, elbow nudging into his side. “ it’s jaya, right? “ she asks, just as soon as the pair is within ear shot. “ i’m blake and this is jace. “

“ again with the hitting? “ he sighs, hand rubbing his shoulder as he scans the crowd, already needing a drink to get through tonight. it wasn’t like he was bad at dating, or anything like that, he just didn’t like being set up. he preferred to meet others the old fashioned way by running into them at the bar, after a show, or at a record store. meeting someone on a double date just wasn’t his thing. a sigh drifts from his lips as he follows her line of vision, seeing two attractive women heading their way. he could only assume that the one locking eyes with blake, was her date while the other that was behind her was his. “ not bad but, you still owe me one. “ he mutters under his breath, proceeding to nudge her back with his elbow. arms fold over his chest, eyes darting between the two as the blonde introduces them. “ hey. “ he nods slowly, gaze flicking from jaya to reese.

a scoff fell past her lips, "really? don't you get breaks? you can't be doing football, all the time" atticus knew that his work was important to him. but it was damaging their relationship to the point that she didn't think that it was fixable. a heavy sigh falls from her lips, god, she hated arguing with him, "i know, you're trying, but i just want you to try more, you know?" a pleading look flashes across her face. she couldn't lose him, she was struggling though, "me too" she mutters, looking at the floor, "i love you so much" which was what made things tougher. atticus liked that idea, it came with a lot of complications though, "a great idea. but, i don't know if i'll get that much time off from work..".

"i wanted to, but it's not so easy." gabriel knew he could list off a few different reasons, something like: too exhausted or too busy, but nothing seemed valid anymore. atticus had a point, work did come first. and that, was the conflicting piece. he had worked so hard, sacrificed so much to make this happen, but he had never been in this position. gabriel had never had a relationship like this, one that meant so much. "atticus...i'm sorry, i don't know what to say. work has always come first, but i'm trying." perhaps, he hadn't tried hard enough. this was all still a learning curve. "or i want to try." her tone made his heart break, even more when she said that. she loves him. "i love you too, that has not changed...ever." gabriel ran a hand through his hair, fatigue washing over him. "i hate shouting," he admitted quietly. after a few moments of consideration, he looked up at her - a new gleam in his eyes. hope. "come with me! it's only a few months, the season will end in november. i'll have some time off and we can return for a bit." yes, that was a great idea. how had it not occurred to him before? they wouldn't have to fight about distance or not spending enough time together. right?
